My Spanish teacher was talking about this yesterday. She is Cuban, and she is white. She was complaining about how when she has to fill out forms, what box does she check? She is hispanic, but she is white as well. Why can she have only one choice? Her race is white, her ethneticity is hispanic. She complained that not all Hispanics are dark skinned. She said in some parts of Mexico, they are blonde haired, blue eyed.
She also said that she gets hell all the time for being a white Cuban, because many people think all Cubans are black.
