I made an appointment at my local planned parenthood type clinic to have an IUD inserted. In Canada we have the choice of the Nova-T200, Flexi-T300 or the Mirena.
Except the Nova-T200 was discontinued in 2001 and has a significantly lower efficacy rate than the latest Nova-T380. When I called they were all "regardless of what you've read online, it's as effective"
Except according to numerous studies, it's not. And all the latest IUD models have 300mm or more copper (what the numer refers to), etc.
So I'll be getting the Flexi-T. But yeah, it pisses me off that women are getting misinformation like this.It's so important to do your research...
