Default Sports are the new extras!

Just kidding- I was makin fun of a thread in SG a while back called "cocaine is the new extras" about a dancer who was selling more because she gave a little "added value" with her dances.

I have found guys love it when I talk about sports. It hits a lot of home runs (to the VIP) in my niche market- 30- 50 y.o. mid to upper level professionals.

SO, I need to make some $$$ before I get my bombs (breasts) at the end of November and I have been watching ESPN. These seem to be the highlights right now:

The Indianapolis Colts (QB Peyton Manning) and the New England Patriots (QB Tom Brady)which are the two ?undefeated? teams in the NFL this season are facing off this weekend for a spot in the playoffs. Colts have homefield advantage but Patriots are favored to win?

In other news, Red Sox ?have now won? the world series???

And Kobe Bryant is soon to be traded fromt the LA Lakers, Alex Rodriguez from the New York Yankees?

    Is this all correct?

I DO know that the Packers smoked the Raiders last weekend. (Packers are my hometeam. I am also partial to the Vikings and the Cowboys.)

What else do I need to know?

Yup, I followed sports more closely when I danced. Its good to know them now as well in my industry, but mostly golf.

    Very very good idea!

I have nerdy tendencies that are pretty unique as in the other strippers can't talk to tech geeks about MMORPG's and old school consoles and shit like that. So, if I am talking to a nerd who has money who isn't dead-set on finding a short black girl with big boobs, I can have him.

LO: You also need to also rant and rave about how the BCS (Bowl Championship Series) college football is BS and they should let the 8 best teams play for the championship (like the playoffs) instead of the current modified voting/championship game.

This is especially useful this time of the year through New Year's.

I just have to say I think that is really cute, lol. I always talk sports but, tell myself I need to stop (well it's ok imo after a vip sell or something when you already are getting the money), b/c i find myself wasting time b/c i can get pretty caught up in it.

Excellent strategy LuckyOne. I do it all the time, ITC and IRL, although its unintentional

My friend "T" (cuz her name is one of those 4 syllable tongue-twisters), got extremely jealous when I was casually chatting with her hubby about my Eagles.

We were talking about Andy Reid (coach) vs. Buddy Ryan (old coach), and she interjected that her favorite coach was "Jim Jones"....she meant Jerry Jones, who's actually the Cowboy's owner/manager.

Our (him and I) laughter didn't go over well.

Anyway, point is, limit the sports talk if you're working a couple I guess, unless you can tell that she's avid.

Between the Spurs and that amazing play by Trinity University, not to mention the Cowboys' admirable year to date, I have quite a bit of conversation starters. But I've definitely found that initiating the conversation and letting the customer take it from there is all I need to do.

If your club has tv's all over the place, and you approach a custy watching, he's probably watching sports. It can be a great icebreaker to comment about the replay, etc. Its also a quick way to sniff out a douchebag if he won't look away from the screen, or is rude to you.

Those guys may be taking up space, but if I had time, I would make it my mission in life to inform any and all girls to stay away from him, even once he was ready for dances. Sometimes is actually worked too!
