    Default Creepy... Computer issues

Okay so this random person adds me to msn and warns me that when he was downloading a movie on limewire(a movie I don't even have) he accidently clicked 'view host' or something like that and it came up with ALL my personal info and he ended up with pictures of me, passwords... everything. Umm how the fuck does this happen? He said he just wanted to warn me and let me know because some of the pics were umm... well some from magazines and stuff.

He just sent me screen shots that he had downloaded of my hotmail and he said all my passwords and shit were out there.

So im changing my passwords and all that fun stuff but seriously WTF?!

    This is creepy

Im uninstalling limewire now and changing everything..

Okay so when I went to change my password in hotmail a million windows started popping up and I had to restart my computer because they wouldn't stop.

I ran the trend micro online virus/spyware scan and it didn't show anything.

Im downright confused and creeped out

Is it possible you let limewire share your entire hard disk or your private folders by accident?

I don't buy it. Sounds like you downloaded a bit of spyware and he's been collecting info on you. That's why he's lying about you downloading a movie you never downloaded. You have to get the malware or spyware off your hard drive and upgrade your security.

Check to see which folders are in your share files. And then change all your passwords!

You might want to use a different computer to change passwords and then avoid using the passwords on your computer until you are sure you've cleaned out spyware, key loggers, etc.

Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

I just ran spybot on my computer and it picked up a bunch of stuff and cleaned it.

I don't have access to another computer to change anything so I just gotta cross my fingers and hope for the best lol.

O.K. you have a serious security issue with you’re PC.
    0. Get that PC off line – ASAP
    1. Check if the sent files are infected with virus or malware.
    2. Check if the sent files are authentic.
    3. Reinstall operating system.
    4. Treat ALL the data on that computer as compromised

Don’t trust to much antivirus programs because some of the viruses/trojan horses can be written for specific use and antivirus programs cant recognize them.

There is pretty big chance that ALL data on you’re computer is compromised. Change everything and look through the data and find what the other person can find about you through the process of data mining –that is process of looking at you’re personal data and finding where are you having banking accounts, credit cards etc…

    Good luck

This can be a real problem because this sounds like web browser on computer is redirected to some other web pages.
If you cant confirm that web page you are seeing is really the web page you have asked for there is possibility that you are looking at the fake web page.

    Its called phishing more on

Sounds like your PC is infected and depending on the type of virus a simple scan isn't going to cut it. Backup what you can, wipe out the system, and reinstall everything. Then you have to change all your passwords, etc. I would alert your credit card companies (if you used cc's) in case they have that info as well.

This situation sucks and there really isn't a quick fix. I hope everything is resolved soon and your data isn't used.

Exactly. While he MAY be a good samaritan, he may have just been trying to confirm your identity by randomly adding you to msn and seeing how you would respond.
