    Default Winter Hair Static

Okay so maybe it's all in my head, but every year as the temperatures get colder I notice that my hair seems more staticky. This week I've noticed I'm starting to get more static in my hair again.

I usually use the smoothing milk after I'm done styling and that only seems to be helping slightly.

Any suggestions on eliminating the static?

    A few hun.

    Real boar bristle brush.

Use a tad of hairspray on the brush while you brush it.

Use a anti-static wipe make for clothes dryers. Gently rub it through the hair.

    Lots of conditioner after washing

Leave in conditioner after hair is dry rub a bit through.

Good luck! ONe or a couple combined will work.

I use a light weight leave in conditioner and/or Biosilk drops.

It's def. not in your head, and if you spend time around computers, it gets worse.
I like the dryer sheets idea and def. more conditioner.

the dryer sheets work good. And I notice I'm less static-y when I use a humidifier in my house.

Take a fabric softener sheet and run it over your brush and your hair. Witch Hazel works too.

Up here it's insane. When I lived in northern Alberta, it was just wild. I had this insanely long, thick, platinum hair when I was a kid, and it would fly around in the winter, zapping and grabbing onto all my winter clothes like medusa. At night, I'd run my hands over the cat, and the bed, and my hair...I'd watch the blue and green mini bolts of static in amusement.

Anyhow. The best solution is to use lots of conditioner, and to just wet your fingers from time to time, then run them through your hair. Or run your brush under a tap, shake out the excess water, and then use it.

Avoid wearing wool if you can. Try wearing silk undershirts. If you don't have a humidifier, leave a bucket of water in your room.

She is right. You just rub it through your hair.
We used to rub Bounce sheets over my cat in the winter because she'd scoot across the carpet and then touch our feet and shock us!
