I was wondering what it was like for men to try and get into the business.
Whats the pay like?
Is there much work?
Is it worth it?

hmmm...we did have some male dancers on the board at one time but I don't think I've seen them around recently. I think your options would be dancing at a male review for females, dancing at a club for gay guys, or doing private bachelorette type parties. From what I've read, it seems dancing for gay men is the most lucrative.

i've never been to a male strip bar, but i have seen some videos if shit.. and all i am going to say is if you have a wife or serious gf that gets jealous, this job isn't for you.
also... i 2nd gay bars. you will make more money.
I have mates that work behind a gay bar in belfast and make crazy tips.

Well there you go. Go for it. You're definitely hot enough for both sexes liking![]()
The LiveJournal exoticdancer community has a couple of male dancers in it.
Been out the the biz and off the forum for a while now but I'm back.
I danced in NYC
Male Reviews 15 min set but lots of down time. I generally made $100 for a set and anywhere from $100-500 in tips.
Female Private parties I got 150 to show for 1/2 hour and about $200-500 in tips.
Gay bars $100 for 3 15 min sets plus tips anywhere from $200-$2,000.
I've never actually done them but the rate seems to be $300-500 for 1/2 hour plus tips.
The range varies though first night I worked I was in incredible shape and I didn't even make enough to tip out the DJ. But after a year or so I was making good money not even being in the best shape, you just learn what to say how to look at your clients the right way.
