Default Need to fight bloating for just one day

So, I overdid it this weekend. I had a few glasses of good wine and some salty foods and now I'm paying (although not regretting that wine yum!)

I feel a bit bloated and unsexy. Tomorrow I need to be in super-fox shape for an audition. I've got about 24 hours to fight the bloat and be in good shape tomorrow about 3pm. After that I don't care if it comes right back. The other threads about bloating on here seem to be more week long period fixes. I can deal with a way shorter fix if its more drastic.

Whats a good 'band aid' fix for one day bloating and water weight?

I'm thinking of nibbling a tiny piece of protein about now, cutting down on liquids slowly tonight and then taking a few diurex pills in the morning. Sound reasonable or desperate?

You can get body wraps at some beauty salons that make you lose several inches of water. Good for your purposes.

Cutting liquids will bloat you more- dehydrated bodies tend to retain fluid.

The sauna. I went the other day for about 2 20min sessions and lost 3/4 of a pound. Drink a ton of water though. I'm talking at least a gallon. Peppermint tea helps with gas too. Cut off anything salty foods right now. Good luck on your audition!

This is proberly completely wrong but I always find a strong coffee makes me feel heaps better and settles a bloated stomach. Then do some exercise and have a light dinner with no wheat or grains.

^All good ideas! Also if you're just looking for a quick temporary fix you might try OTC diuretics. Just make sure to drink lots of H2O so you don't get dehydrated.

Taking lots of B6 works too.

No salt, no soda, nothing that will cause bloat!

Fennel tea is excellent for bloating, and it taste pretty good!

    Sauna is a great idea.
