Exclamation Ontario, Canada bylaw and VIP

I recently went and worked at Roxxanne's in Kitchener, about an hour outside of Toronto. I thought that there may be $$ there, as stages were paid to the dancers by the club , plus you could sell VIP dances. As it turns out, contact dances have been banned by the city, and many other Ontario towns(including Ottawa) .

Thus, it makes it very difficult to make any money, because clients don't see the point of going to VIP and paying 20$ a song, for the same show that they can see on the stage (not exactly, but you know what I mean). I was able to make a decent pay for the nights that I worked, but I only made about 1/3 of what I usually make in Gat. Not to be biased, but I would'nt pay for them either! lol. I realize that after a while(years maybe), dancers might start to make good $$ again, because clients will see that 0 contact dances will be the closest that they can get.

I usually work in Gatineau, which is part of Quebec, where this new rule has not been inforced, however I am considering moving to Toronto next month, and dancing will be my primary source of income. I am not sure if hustle hut is even the right place to be posting this, but I was hoping that I could get some feedback from other dancers that work in GTA or surrounding areas.

Ok, there is still some contact in Ottawa, and there is almost assuredly still contact in Toronto.

PM me for the excruciating specific details of what we can and cannot do in Ottawa, but there IS a difference between bylaw and criminal charges. Bylaw= fines, criminal= screwed.

I mean, there are still massage parlours. We still get to have sort of contacty dances if the parlours are allowed hand jobs (which they totally are).

I guess I'll wait to see if Jenny weighs in, because she knows more. All I can speak for is Ottawa, for which I will say that things have changed, but we're not busted down to table dancing just yet. And I am still making the money that I made in Gatineau, and with less contact to boot.

(But let me say that you can in fact make pretty good money at table dancing clubs, a la Thunder Bay. The dances are $10 a pop, and the guys buy them quite easily. And zero contact, if you're into that kind of thing. Never underestimate the value of getting a close up, personal look at our bits.)

Do not despair, little red! I'll PM ya.

I don't know anything about Ottawa, but if you come to Toronto let me know and I can direct you what are good clubs and what are useless clubs.

Hey, in Kingston, we have no contact whatsoever and a girl was just run out for letting a guy touch her. The club is slow, (it's picking back up though). But I still make okay money. Hell, in October alone, I made $4200. And I've just been doing this for 2 1/2 months.
If they asked you why would they get a dance for $20 when they can get it for free, they're just retards and you say "I'm sorry I was under the impression that guys who came to strip clubs appreciated women, and like to show that appreciation by taking them for a VIP. But I understand now, you're just a cheap prick."
Using that line, I've had a table of three guys leave the club. I must have hurt their feelings.
The hustle is different, you have to talk to them. Oh, I forgot, our dances are $15 per song in VIP here, so if you want to make good money, you REALLY have to hustle and increase major social skills. You have to read the crowd really carefully here.
I don't know if that helps for you right now. Good luck!

I'm in South-western Ontario, and we still have some contact. Mind you nothing that crosses the line. Guys can touch if you let them...kitty is a no-zone. But we grind like hell though. Some guys are respectful and don't even try to touch. Tey just appreciate having a gorgoeus woman in their lap.

Um, yeah, there is, most assuredly, contact in Toronto. Although I think there are bylaws prohibiting lapdances here, actually. It's not really enforced, and violating a bylaw gets you, in a nutshell, a ticket. Although with the city in the financial trouble it's been in lately, it might be a way to recoup some losses from the recent licensing decisions.

In terms of selling something different than what's on the stage - give away less on the stage. Then you have something to give them.

Yeah, there's definitely contact allowed in Toronto. And lots of clubs are SUPER busy, good money etc.
