Default I tip hair extensions? Flash Point fusion?

So I have a consultation to see if I want I-tip/flash point fusions. I'm going this lady -

I don't know if she uses the pull through method or the heat method, you can do both with the I tip hair. It's supposed to be a smaller bond than great lengths, and you can re-use the hair. It comes only in straight and bodywave, so I'm going to have to perm the hair - I hope I can do it before they're applied, I don't want perm chemicals in MY hair.

Anyone have them? Gimme your knowledge!

I don't know anything about them, but I'd love to get something like that. You'll have to let us know how they turn out if you decide to get them.

D'you mind if I ask how much they would be putting you out in terms of $$$?

$700 for installation, and about $300 for hair. The hair is reusable. They're supposed to last 6-12 months.

That's a pretty good deal. The hair shouldn't be that expensive though unless she's rolling it herself (which is highly unlikely) she's rippin' you off.

I love the I-tips, I think they are the best extensions out right now!

6-12 months is a little hopefull though, it sounds like you're not getting 100% honesty. I believe the average persons hair grows a half inch every month, that's 3 inches of growout between your head and the extensions after 6 months and 6 inches if you wait 12 months! I would recommend a touch-up/redo every 3-4 months max.

How many "strands" did she say you'll need?

I'm going for my consultation today - I'll fill you in when I get back.

I think she meant the hair itself can last a year, after timely re-adjustments.

What do they "feel" like? Can you run your fingers through your hair?

Ok, make sure you ask how much the touchups are too, sometimes they rip you off on that, and ask how much you'll loose on a regular basis.

I think they feel the most natural. You can run your fingers through your hair but if you're touching your scalp you do feel them.

The quality of hair is important too because if it tangles easily you'll end up yanking hair out when you brush or pull your fingers through.

Where do you get your hair from? The places she told me to order from only have straight and wavy, and I need wavy-curly.

I usually roll it by hand off tracks but not many people do that. There is an ebay store, I think it's called sugarbubbleshop (?) that sells the I tip for a good price though. Although I don't think they have the wavy-curly either.
