I just got back from my Mervyn's interview. Apparently it was a seasonal job, which I thought might be a problem because of my vacation. However the manager said since I already had my ticket, she said fine, even though normally she would have said no. So I was offered a position and I accepted. Orientation is next Thursday and as long as my background check is clear I keep the job.
What exactly are they looking for in a background check? I'm a bit worried because I have a misdemeanor from last year, but the judge said it was "there but it wasn't" ie sealed?
So if at the end of the season in January I like it and do a good enough job, I can be hired on full time.
I also did the Safeway interview, and like I said in the Random Thread, it was very vague and indifferent, so I have no idea how I did, but they said they'd call in a day or two if they want to offer a position.
If Safeway offers me a job, I will take that over Mervyn's because I can save a ton on gas.
Still waiting to hear back from the Honda dealer, they said to give them a week. I figured I'd call them on Friday anyways to follow up. If I don't get Safeway, but Honda offers me a postition, I WILL take that I think.
