If you thought you saw the "director's cut" a few years back, you didn't. But now, at last, Ridley Scott's "final cut" is out.
I plan to see this science fiction masterpiece this Friday night in Chicago at the Music Box theater.![]()

^^Oooohhh....Still I wish they wouldn't keep recutting movies. Gets confusing.I still want to see this.

Hmmm, haven't heard of this. I still have my VHS copy of the original, since I prefer it to the "director's cut" from a few years ago. I wonder if they fixed all the terrible edits in this "new" one? The scene where Deckard is questioning the Egyptian about the snake is the worst. It's shot through the shop window, and if you're paying attention, none of their mouths sync up with the dialogue at all. I liked the voiceovers in the original, too. I'm going to see if this is playing around here. Let us know how it was!
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.

Sigh. It IS classic, but I'm just so frustrated with how people are constantly recutting movies! It just bothers me.... But thats just because I get a little weird with details.... You're talking to the girl who can name every difference between the European release of Dawn of the Dead and the American one...

Just happened by the Cinerama and saw this playing over the weekend.
I had to see it, it was great, very smooth, so cool and dark.
I recall why at one time it was my favorite movie.

Considering they never let R. Scott cut the movie the way they intended, I'm happy to finally see his specific vision finally available.
Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.
Forgot to mention: If there are others in Chicago who want to come along and share popcorn, shoot me a PM.
There's the dirctors cut and now the final cut? What are the differences? It's still my favorite movie of all time, but this is getting strange. Scott had nothing to do with the dreictors cut but does with this new version, or he didnt like the last one so did yet another version? Me confused.
A cunning linguist...

they are showing it in vancouver. it sucks that i'm not there at the moment so i can't see it in theatres!
