This is going to be a million kinds of badass!

FUCK FUCKING YEAH!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait for this! Have you looked up your spirit guide online, Yek? The website for this movie had a cool little personality test and would match you up with a mystical animal from that world.
Ooh no, I haven't. But when I was reading the books I had a hunch that my daemon would be a cat of some kind, perhaps a tiger or even just a housecat. But almost definitely a cat.

That's pretty funny because my guide was a little bird! lol Meow
OMG, this is hilarious. I just went to the site and took the test to find my daemon, and...
He is a tiger.
Toldja!![]()
I'm so excited for this movie!!!!

Have any of you read the 'His Dark Materials' trilogy?
It's seriously one of the most beautiful pieces of literature I've ever encountered.
I am *beyond* excited...
I have been waiting like 5 months for this movie.
Took the quiz and got the mouse, hehe![]()
So i took the quiz. Normally my spirit animal is a wolf, but not this time haha.
My Daemons name is Rhianna, and she's a Jackal.

your daemon anexa is one of the 12378 raccoon daemons within the total daemon population of 361302
anexa is a female daemon, as humans and daemon pairs are typically of the opposite sex
your profile reveals that you are:
modest, fickle, a leader, assertive, and sociable
you are therefore matched with a raccoon daemon
You can't love something you think is flawless - me
woohoo!
I looked up the spirit guide and got the ladybug and my boyfriend got the tiger.
Mine is Thirmus and it is a chimpanzee.(I did it a second time with the same answers and still got a chimp, but now named Archeleron)
Odd..I thought it would be a cat of some sort....
It says a chimp daemon means I am modest, competitive, solitary, humble and a leader. Pretty much what my sign says I should be. Not so much on some of those counts..lol..but some are right.
I cant wait for this movie..I heard it was being panned by critics...but I never agree with them. I REALLY hope they play it at the Imax theatre!!

Heh,
Hypatia Fox
Link on daemons from the book

heehee, Cameron makes me giggle like a chimp!
I'm still relishing the idea of having a tiger daemon. He would be two or three times bigger than me, so anytime we went somewhere people would notice this huge tiger first and then see this short little freckled woman and think, "WTF?" Bwahaha.
It's weird though, I've always been fascinated with tigers and I totally have the personality of a tiger. Not just in the "lethal jungle cat" sense, but if you've ever seen tigers play or tigers with people they love, or tigers fucking, I'm just like that too. Maybe I was a tiger in a past life.
I'm really looking forward to the third movie in this trilogy. You gals that have read it, you know what I'm apprehensive about... there's a fairly significant figure who dies at the end, with a very clear message attached to the death, and there is no WAY that any Hollywood studio is going to touch that. I'm curious as to how they adapt it and if they can make it work.

Yeah, I have a feeling Hollywood won't touch what you're talking about. Studios can put out "The Passion of the Christ," but something moving like "His Dark Materials" will be watered down. I still want to see the movie version though.
Oh yeah. But when I first heard they were making a movie of "The Golden Compass," my first thought was, "Well, they're not going to make the THIRD one!" Look at "The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe." The original plan was to make all seven, but I think after the first one somebody actually read the later books and said, "Oh, nevermind." Susan dies and goes to hell for wearing lipstick and nylons, I can totally see that topping the box office.![]()

uh, they're releasing several more narnia movies. they may very well knock them all out eventually...
No kidding! Wow. I had heard they called off the whole project after the first one was such a box-office disappointment.
I got the jackal daemon, named Pyrrheus.
BTW, so was "The Wizard of Oz." The movie bears little resemblance to the book. I hope they don't do that to the "His Dark Materials" trilogy... that would be terrible.Originally Posted by SarahSynn
