I ordered this outfit from Trashy for Halloween. I was so excited. My boyfriend was going to be Captain Hook. The costume looked gorgeous.
The dress was $200, the wings were $100. A little exorbitant for a Halloween costume, but I really wanted it.
I ordered a medium, which is supposed to be 34-27.5-38. I'm a 34D-27-37. The small definitely wasn't going to work. The medium should have been dead on. Ask Velvet, Paige, and Stray Stripper - I'm not a big girl! I'm skinny!
The costume arrived the Thursday before Halloween. I took the costume out of the box, and it had two pink small stains on the front. No big deal, I'll wash it. I went to try it on, it barely slippped over my hips, and the zipper wouldn't budge. I took it off and looked at it, and noticed it was ridiculously small. I showed it to my boyfriend and room mates and the response from all of them was "Is it a child's medium?" I have a friend who is a size 0 and flat chested, and she couldn't fit into it. After taking measurements of it before returning it, I concluded it was likely a small mislabeled as a medium.
I called to tell them what was up, and they advised me to take it to a tailor and have the zipper taken out. I asked what happens if that didn't work - they said it would be non-returnable. Shouldn't they have volunteered that information freely? I didn't want to do that.
I called to inform them that I was returning it, and didn't agree that I should be subject to the 25% restocking fee, because the discrepancy in size WAS NOT MY FAULT. I asked if I could have full store credit, because I'd love to order this...
The girl I spoke to, Honey, said they could only exchange for size, and there was NO WAY I could have full store credit, even though my Halloween costume was now irrelevant because it is no longer Halloween. I told them I was a dancer, and would love to order something else instead. Pretty reasonable, right? They insisted they could only refund me 75% of what I paid. She also basically accused me of being fat and lying about what size I was. She said "I'm not saying you're lying, but I can't see what size you are?" Why would I spend $300 on something I knew wouldn't fit? For vanity? I asked her to have her manager, Randy, call me - he never did.
So I sent it back a few days ago. I just got an email stating that both items, the wings and the dress, were non-returnable because the wings had been worn (not true, only tried on) and the dress had vaginal secretions in the crotch (also not true, I had panties on when I tried it on, so did my size zero friend). They say the only thing they could do was send it back to me for $13 or dispose of it.
I'm so mad. I've ordered from them multiple times and have always loved everything I got from them. I was planning on ordering more items. But after how poorly I've been treated, I don't think I'll be ordering again, and I advise you not to either unless you like being lied to and spoken down to. Customer service means nothing to them.
I really feel like I'm just being ripped off by a pissed off sales girl who thinks I'm a fat girl and an indiffferent mananger who can't even be bothered to return my calls.

I avoid them altogether by going to their website, downloading and printing out the pictures of the costumes I like and have a good costumer make something almost similar for me. My nurse outfit came from that site (inspired by the Nurse Botox costume they have there) as did my police/cop outfit (inspired by the SWAT costume they have there).
