    Angry cat problem

i got a kitten a few weeks ago, and for some reason, she will not stop peeing on my fucking bed! her litter tray is clean and sometimes she'll use that, but other times she pees on my bed. i have no idea how to get her to stop doing this. i've already had to get the bed stuff dry-cleaned once, and now i'm going to have to do it again.

every other cat i've ever had has always been really good and never peed anywhere other than their litter trays, so i really don't know how to train her that this is bad.

I have like 4 cats that live in my house, but aren't allowed to come into my room that pee EVERYWHERE.

In the inappropriate spots where your cat pees, try rubbing it with white vinigar. They hate the smell, and it washes away the scent that they marked, so they don't feel the need to "update".

You may just have to keep her locked up in the bathroom for a while until she only ever pees there, or just follow her around the house for a couple days. When she starts to pee, drop her in the litterbox.

    Darcy, SERIOUSLY go to http://www.cat-world.com.au/forums/

It is AUSTRALIAN and a DEVOTED cat forum. You WILL find your answers there, do a search and if you cannot find your answer there, post. They will welcome you.

You don't have to mention what you do for work at all as it is about cats that forum so all they care about is knowing about your cat(s) in your life.

Start feeding your cat on your bed as cats don't defecate where they eat. Plus are you damn sure your cat's smell is out of the sheets when you get them dry cleaned? Can you soak them in a tub with BioZet Laundry Powder ?

Is she doing this because she misses you? Do you have any clothes of yours you have worn with your scent on them you can leave on the bed in case she just wants to "stay close to you".. and pee-ing is her way of saying "I miss you"... yes this can happen.

she pees all over my clothes too. seriously, if i leave a pair of jeans on the floor for like 5 minutes she pees on them. it's really getting beyond a joke. i'm in a rental property and my house fucking stinks of cat pee, and i just need to make this stop!

hmm. Your first step is take her to the vet to rule out any health conditions.
Sometimes cat's have a bladder infection, and it hurts to pee. they associate the hurt with the litter box, so will refuse to go in there, and startpeeing other places.

Beyond medical issues, it's some sort of behaviorial issue, and I'm just not sure...it's unchararistic for a cat to have accidents, espicially a female one.
Maybe she feels threatened by your other cat and is trying to mark her territory?
    I don't know...

I do agree with GCG that you should make extra sure your bedding and clothes really do have the pee smell gone, cause if it still smells like pee, she'll think it's an ok place to go.

I dunno. If it were me, I'd show her what she did say BAD GIRL! and put her in her litter box.
Then when I saw her go in the box give her a treat.
But that's just me, dunno if that's the right way to go abotu things or not.

Have her checked at the vet for a bladder infection.

Maybe try moving her litter box to another location. When I moved a while back my cat would pee in weird places...then I tried moving his litter box to another room and that did the trick. He also would pee on the floor when I tried to change his litter. He only likes the clumping litter not clay or pellets. Make sure she doesn't have a bladder problem though...that could be an issue.

Oh ^^ yes! That might be a problem too... the cat just may not like the kitty litter you are using! I've had that problem in the past with the cats in my life. I know the current one I'm using the cat adores and only pees elsewhere as a way of saying CHANGE THE FUCKING KITTY LITTER HUMAN!

My puppy does the same thing. She pees on the pee pad, and the bed.
