i think.. grrr i really dont know. im literally divided 50/50 over this.
well, if you can handle the kitteh, and you think you can give it a good home... then it stands to reason...![]()

im going to sleep on it. im supposed to go back tomorrow at noon so i guess i will decide then. of course you know once im back in there im going to get him...
and then the fun of pictures and posting on sw and picking a name (even though in my head he is named eddie.. you never know.. jasper didnt have a name for a few days lol)
just thinking of the fight this is going to cause with my parents is not fun...
man and who says i'll be able to stop? as soon as little (eddie) grows up i'll want a baby again! its a good thing im into cats and not real babies...

I don't think its having 3 cats that's much of a problem, its having 3 cats that are relatively the same age. Get another kittycat in 3-5 years or so, that way you won't be dealing with 3 aging cats at the same time. Staggering them is a good idea.
Just to warn you so this does not happen to you:
There is an apartment building across the street from my church. It has a no pets policy.
This guy who lived there had several cats. One night he locked himself out of his apartment. He could have had the manager open the door and let him in, but then the cats would have been discovered, so...
He got a rope and went up on the roof. Tied one end of the rope to something on the roof and the other end to his ankle. Started to lower himself down to his window, but lost control and fell until he was caught by the rope.
He hung upside down outside the building for forty-five minutes until somebody responded to his cries for help and got the manager, who got a ladder and rescued him.
Then he got evicted anyway.
So, if you get that third cat, never go out the door without your key!

Britt, personally I wouldn't if you have something that is going good right now with Jasper and Olivia then I would keep it that way, throwing a 3rd into the mix may upset that chemistry. Also I agree with other your father co-signed and he does have a right to say as he is also responcible for that apartment.
Overall it sounds like your already emotionally attached to the kitty, however, I hate to sound overbearing, I think you need to take a step back and look at the pros vs the cons of gettiing another cat. What exactly does the rental agreement say if you have more than 2 cats?

i think that would be a really bad idea. having an older cat and then getting a kitten would be hard. its easier for them to get along with theyre young.
as for what the rental agreement says.. i dont think it says something will happen if you have more than 2 pets. it says you cant have them. i dont think it would say "but if you break this, this happens"
One other thing to consider is if/when you decide to move, you may find it more difficult to find a place that allows more than two pets.
fuck that i have 4 now. all of various ages. the first two are brothers. the next was a stray two years later. the last came to me as a baby.
they all are fine and have established their own hierarchy. does my lease say i can have even one.. no.
if they even asked i would say i had one. no one ever even asked to see the one much less the whole group. cats are very easy to hide.
oh and btw i've moved and took them all with me. havent been caught yet hehe

i still dont know what to do! and im supposed to go back at noon.. so i have an hour to decide.and im meeting my dad at the lazy boy store next to the pet store (petco.. they have rescue cats) in 15 mins so im sure he'll have plenty to say.
Oh man you got tons of advice but I feel for ya cause kitties are my weakness!

i didnt get him.
i met his foster mom though.
the form you fill out, it says they will call your apt to see if pets are allowed. yeah, theyre allowed, but im afraid they will say only 2 and then i would be in trouble. i was about to get him til i saw that.
not that lying is the best option, but did you tell them that you already had2? If you didnt tell them you any it shouldnt be a problem right?

nope, they know i have 1. but the ladies from the shelter know i have 2, and im afraid they might say something.
can you get a friend to adopt it for you then give it to you?
