Default If you were a celeb...

What would your silly "demand" list be like? I heard J.LO demands that gardenia perfume is sprayed in any room/hallway before she enters..

    Mine would be-

    1. Bottles of rum
    2. Tahitian vanilla candles
    3. White roses
    4. Naked girls
    5. Treats & small bed for my cat
    6. Tray of fruit/brownies
    7. Velvet couches
    8. Pole

I think I would be like Keanu Reeves and give all my swag to the production assistants. Been there, done that, know how underpaid and underappreciated they are, and I'd hate to be one of those people who has money but takes everything for free while the ones who are struggling to buy food don't have anything.

I would ask the caterer for cornbread and greens cooked without pork, at least once a week. And a vanilla candle for my trailer would be pleasant.

The idea is to have someone review each and every Dorito before placing it in the bowl.

I remember a story about the people from Van Halen asking for a bowl of M&M's, but with every light and dark brown one removed. Something about them resembling rabbit turds.

And how the Ramones had a raw opium supply in theirs.

Both sounded plausible at the time.

Yeah I heard the M&M story too.

What would you do if you found a broken Dorito though?

    ^^^ Totally plausible, it's ridiculous.

I worked on a show once and our lead actor - who wasn't even anybody, really, just a supporting actor on some sitcom - had an arrangement whereupon he stayed at the Four Seasons and every week the production had to furnish him with an eight ball and a prostitute. Every week. Meanwhile I was sleeping on the office floor because the production couldn't afford to put me up in a cheap motel.

^^^Back when they still made dark meat nuggets, I'd have agreed with you! These white meat ones just don't do it for me.

Nah after reading through these, I gotta agree with Yek. It'd make my day to pamper my entourage and all those responsible for making me the success I (in my imaginary world) am. Plus the loyalty it would inspire would more than make up for my lack of unbroken Doritos.

But I'd have to have cheese and sparkling cider at all times. Mmmmmmmmm cheese. That's not unreasonable.

For a dressing room at one event or ongoing trailer?

    Dressing room:
    cheese and crackers
    good BBQ potato chips
    bottled water..still and sparkling
nice cinnamon or vanilla scented candle
    PrettyCurlieQ reminded me...massuse!!
damn people keep making me want stuff...good tea, cold and hot

and I'd order a HUGE tray of sandwiches and several bottles of champagne to give to anyone who worked with me that night...just because I know they'd give it to me.

    ongoing trailer:
bottled water always in the fridge
Good coffee for when I get there every morning
    massuse on call
    good tea, cold and hot
anything else I wanted, I'd bring myself

again: huge tray of good food and bottles of champagne for the last day which I'd share celebrating with the crew that I worked with

    what a good thread!
    I woud have;
    frozen margheritas ready to drink
tortilla chips and sour cream dip
    selection of pizzas
    pole
    hot tub
    kareoke machine
    crate of cheap champagne
    dry ice machine
I basically want a party room where everyone can have fun, i would feel so selfish if i had all these treats and nobody else could join in

This story is true, one justification someone in the VH camp offered years later was that they would put in bizarre demands like that just to see if anyone from the venue read the rider *at all*; they would know that if they didn't get either the M&Ms at the show or at least a "WTF?" phone call from the provider before the show then the venue didn't bother reading the rider and the important stuff besides the M&Ms might also have been neglected.

However I don't buy that, it sounds like rock and roll ego to me.

Oh I could be totally diva.
    -wet bar w/ champagne
-nail tech/pedicure lady/masseuse in my entourage
-table of my favorite snacks (yeah, it changes, be on your toes, damnit!)
    -scented candles
-japanese chef (not a japanese dude, just someone to make me the perfect sukiyaki steak!)

Not much of a diva.... So long as someone else is cleaning, there's apple cider and fruit and chocolates and tea nearby, I'm happy. Probaby once a week i'd ask for a manicure/pedicure/masseuse to come over, just book him/her the whole day, and offer the remaining time of their services to any of the production crew who needed it.

    Definitely a masseuse!
Really good tea. Made properly-boiling water, fresh tea, the works.
    Good stereo.
    Cheddar cheese and jam sammiches.
    Air popped Popcorn.
    Sparkly water.
    A bathtub with Lush!
I like the idea of a really good spread of food and drink for the other people around, esp since I'm a picky eater and teetotal.

Many actors do this at their own expense. It is always very much appreciated! Sometimes they do things like a chocolate fountain at lunch on the last day of shooting, or lush stuff like that... one night we were shooting late and Michael Douglas ordered this really amazing gourmet pizza for the whole crew on his own credit card. And Bernie Mac pays for pizzas and a margarita machine for the crew of his show every Friday. As much as I bitch about celebrities, they aren't ALL assholes.

    4) lots of Evian bottled water.
5)Black sexy outfits of all types.
    6) My favorite Retic. in a large green leaved tree hanging around under warm soft lighting for me to watch while i prepare.

Nice to know i'm not crazy for thinking htat way! Side note, I am jealous of you for getting to work with these people! I loved my concert hall sound production gig... Meet soooo many neat musicians! Best thing we ever had was the Capital Steps came, and gave EVERYONE remotely connected with the show their three most recent CD's.... Right on down to the ushers, and ticket office workers... Though the Preservation Hall Jazz Band was pretty fun... guys as old as my grandfather tryng to get me to tell them where to buy weed, or to hang out with them after the show.... whew....

OK, I just like seeing performers perform, and if i'm helping them, so be it!
