    Perfume???

Ok, the vajayjay thread got me thinking.....what perfume seems to be the best money maker for you????

    Cheapo, body splash in vanilla
    Classic perfumes like White Shoulders
    Paris Hiltons new perfume?

My thoughts are that cheapo smells nice, and you can use it alot

Classics smell great, and also perhaps help them remember good times in the past....

New perfumes smell good....but are expensive to use all night, if it doesn't make a difference.....

I'm totally over thing this, but thoughts anyone?

The only perfume I wear is Dazzling Silver by Estee Lauder. I get sooo many compliments on it all the time. It's not cheap but not super expensive either. It's about $60 per bottle and lasts about 6-8 months. I'll also wear lotion, it's between Pumpkin pie, Gingerbread or Plumeria, all from Bath & Body Works. I've always been told I smell good.

I think for the most part it doesn't matter what you wear as long as it smells good on you. Different scents smell different on different people depending on your body's chemistry. As long as it goes well with your chemistry, I think the customers will like it. I've even been told my hair smells good which is just my shampoo. I think the fact that we're strippers makes customers think we smell good. One time I told a customer that I was wearing "stripper stray" that it's a perfume you buy at the store that we're all required to wear in order to work. He totally believed me! Hahahaha!!!!

Ok. I love perfumes. I wear different scents depending on my mood. My favs are hypnotic poison, miss dior cherie, and magnetism. I recently got armani code which is really nice and different. So I'd like to think this money I'm spending on perfume matters at work.

    WRONG!

Every time I wear one of my perfumes NO ONE really says anything.

But if I spray on my $7 Body Fantasy Vanilla body spray I ALWAYS get complimented on how good I smell. This always blows my mind. I would think I smell like everyone else, the typical stripper wearing her vanilla spray, but men love it! I prefer this vanilla to all the others I've smelled.

Go figure. I'll just save the good stuff for me!

i actually do bath and body works lotion with body spray. i find that customers love it, and it never ever sticks to a custy, which is a huge issue for a married man. he cannot come home smelling like perfume.

when im not at work, i heart dior addict 2.

(eta, i love sweet pea scent)

    Love it!

I used to wear Sweet Pea. I got tired of wearing body sprays because they wear off and my club is a smoking club so I ended up smelling like smoke. I now wear Vera Wang Princess and sometimes Britney Spears Fantasy.

Think there was a thread like this in Customer Conversation the other day.

I won't use perfume OR body spray... I have several customers tell me they don't like it.

I use STRAIGHT essential oils. My recipe costs about $20-$30 to make, BUT it will last for about six months if you're using it twice a day about 4 days a week. I just dab it on behind my ears, at the bottom of my neck (where the collarbone meets), between my breasts, at the inside of each thigh right next to my cooch, and on my wrists.

    I use equal parts:
    Jasmine Absolute
Neroli (adjust this according to taste--some brands are stronger than others)
    Orange Blossom
    Ylang-Ylang

It's also great in my club since I'm the ONLY one who uses it--my regulars can always identify me by scent, and the scent itself is very subtle and not floral or "girly".

I agree with FemmeFatal, I get the most compliments when I wear cheap stripper spray. But, a while back I just got tired of it, so I started wearing my real perfume. I don't know. I guess I like more complex fragrances - but guys do all seem to like Vanilla, and my B&BWorks Pumpkin pie. Of course

Oh and Morgan, does your essential oil mix linger like crazy? I was playing around with a girl at work one night (don't ask) and I could tell she wore some sort of natural, pure, oil type scent and man, I smelled like her for the longest time. She might have used too much though.

Yeah at work I wear cheap body sprays. I'm not wasting my expensive stuff just to have it mix with others cheap cologne, smoke, etc...etc.... not worth it.

Plus guys seem to react better when I wear the cheap stuff and smell like a damn sugar cookie

It remains on ME for most of the night (I usually only need to re-apply if I do costume change (once a night, after about 5 hours on the floor). But it doesn't rub off once it's dried (about 3-5 seconds after application). Plus, I ONLY put it in those certain areas. For one, the scent is released when I dance. For two, I USE those scented areas... All the oils are very strong male aphrodisiacs, and most men will respond nicely to them without even knowing why. The oils make them react more strongly to having my breasts or coochie near their face, and when sitting with them, I work my neck and wrists near their face discreetly. I can tell a big difference when I wear it... The guys generally respond as if hit with a shot of espresso (mild stimulation, but noticeable). I'll notice that their movements quicken, their eyes move quicker, etc.--all classic signs of a stimulant. Also (of course), they show more sexual arousal. It works very well for me... My tips triple when I wear it.

Morgan -- I've gotta try that essential oil mix! It sounds like it would smell WONDERFUL
Britt -- D&G Light Blue is one of my FAVORITES, great choice!!
Hippiegirl -- My biggest money makers are Calgon Orange Sherbert. Any of their "edible"-titled body sprays seem to smell really good, and a lot of the girls that I work with notice that they get complimented a lot when wearing something from that line specifically. I think they smell great, but I'm much more confident when I wear one of my two absolute favorites, Gucci's Envy Me (so so worth it, it's the only perfume I think I can stomach that high of a price for, it's around $80 or so. I also wear DKNY's Red Delicious (yes, like the apple!). It's fruity and almost florally without being overpowering or too sweet. Which is kind of funny, b/c I don't normally enjoy fruity or very floral scents. Having said that, I don't know if it's the added confidence that goes along with wearing my favorite perfumes, but I make NOTICEABLY more money when I wear those last two scents.

Oh, interesting sidenote, also on the vajayjay thread, a couple of girls said that they made more money when they don't wear deodorant, and one of them guessed (correctly) that wearing deodorant does mask the pheromones that your body exudes naturally.

Now, I can't speak for anyone else on this one, but as for myself, I put on a rather energetic show nearly every time I step onto that stage, knees permitting. I am sweating to one degree or another after EVERY set. I would not trust perfume alone to mask that smell after 6-8 hours. If you want to bring pheromones into play, buy a bottle of them from ANY fun party company. But kitty juice is free, and I swear, my curiosity might get the better of me tonight!

    Issi Miyake for her.

There's a slight possibility I may have spelled that incorrectly. I'm too lazy to google it. But lemme tell ya, I've never gone a single night wearing it without receiving compliments from almost EVERY man I've come across. The scent is just...intriguing.

Sorry to threadjack but I have a question for ladies that don't wear deodorant. How do you avoid smelling funky midway thru the shift. Are you supposed to wear just an antipesperant or go all naturual.

I like to wear kinda food-ish smells. I get the most compliments on
Ralph Lauren HOT (its sweet, I know it has maple in it, I can't remember what else, I need more!) and

Victoria Secret Spray Caramel Kiss (but it was limited addition and only 2 bucks because it was on clearance...I should have bought more)

bodycology - vanilla buttercream. MMMMMMMMMMM mmm MMMmm. love it. got a lot of good reactions. i also don't use lotion, just vitamin e and cocoa butter, so this one dude was like oh my god, she smells like BROWNIES. i have body fantasy vanilla too, but it's not as rich and ediblicious as the buttercream stuf.

i used to wear britney spears fantasy ... got a LOT of compliments. but i don't wear expensive perfume at werk anymore, not worth it. usually i hit the dressing room for a touch-up and do a quick head to toe spray and it's just not economical. i'm almost compulsive about it because i don't think a stripper can ever smell too strongly of brownies.......heh...

tried paris hilton....i think it was heiress. at first i liked it, but when i got out of the department store i swear to god it smelled like stale pussy. it wasn't just me either, all the other girls thought so too....bleh. waste of $60.

it's funny how smell affects our brains so strongly... i think it really is the most delicate and sensual of our senses. a lot of cultures refer to a person's character, ie whether they are good, kind, honest, trustworthy etc, as "having a good smell" and they say smell is to emotion what sight/hearing is to cognition.

in high school, i hosted a french girl at my house as part of an exchange...her perfume was to die for. literally. i have never smelled anything so good in my life. it was like in cartoons when the smell is visible, and enters peoples' noses and lifts them up 10 feet in the air. she claimed that in france she was not considered anything special. but in seattle, where everybody lives in cargo pants and rei pullovers, she went over like a movie star. men chased us down the street. i'm sure it was because of the perfume, not to mention the fact that she was drop-dead gorgeous. but yeah.

i love smelling things. i love this thread.

i think i'm gonna go diffuse some pepperment oil right now. mmmmm minty.

Depends on your body chemistry, but the original Poison by Dior works wonders for me. Seriously, I spent a few hours walking around downtown in my major metropolitan city...then I bought this at Holt&Renfrew and spray iT on. More walking. Sudden clusters of men lingering, head turns. Extra smiles.

I was all, what the hell? Is my lingerie showing? And then I remembered...oh right. Poison.

Seriously, it's frightening how much this apparently affects them.

    So I vote Poison.

    addendum:

i forsook (is that a word?) regular deoderant when i got pregnant and i started using those deodorant crystal thingies. i was just so worried about the chemicals being absorbed into my armpits/breast tissue and affecting my son. took a little while for my body chemistry to adjust but after a while it does, and they work GREAT! i bet they let your natural pheremones or whatever to leak out too.

mine is made of alum, a mineral compound that naturally inhibits bacterial growth on your skin (the real cause of odor) not stopping up your body's natural processes....so you do sweat, but it's not stinky at all. i have always found i sweated through normal hardcore antipersperants anyway.

i wear stella by stella mccartney and for deodorant under my arms i use secret platinum in spanish rose. the two scents seem to compliment each other as guys seem to go crazy for it when they smell me during a dance.

stella in two peony and armani code sheer have worked well for me, too. i think it's more of scent to make me feel beautiful rather than as a chemical pheromone.

I think that what would make wearing perfume vs. body spray worth it is if most other dancers wear the body spray. At my club everybody wears the vanilla-dessert body spray stuff, because I get complimented so much for my Vera Wang perfume at work.

This sounds awesome. I just picked up Jasmine yesterday matter of fact. Neroli is a little strong but I like Orange Blossom and Ylang-Ylang. I'll have to try your concoction!

how long did it take for your body to adjust for it to start working?

Usually natural deodorant work for me for 1 month tops. Then I start to get funky again. Maybe this will be different?

I wear nothing, not even lotion. I choose no lotion because I use a lot of pole work, and find if I even wear it in the am it affects me throughout the day. I don't like wearing perfumes/splashes either.
I get lots of compliments for not smelling like anything in particular. Sometimes I use a sea salt to get soft skin that has an aroma. Guys seem to like that, and the girls do to. They say I smell fresh
