Default How Do You Tell if an Agency's Good or Not?

I'm kind of debating doing private parties. There are a couple companies around here that book them, but I'm not really sure what to look for to make sure they are safe and legit. I had a really bad experience with a company last winter so I don't want to repeat that. any tips on finding a good company to work for?

Try and find some dancers that already work for the agency.

Word of mouth can be a pretty good guide.

make sure they ask to see and make copies of your id and ss card.

they should interview you in person. They should provide or at least help you find a driver/security.

that should help weed out the really bad ones at least.

I've only had one company out of five that has ever gotten my ID copied. I met with another and she looked at it. The other three I've only talked to via phone and done work for them.

    Questions:
    1. what type of clientel do you normally get?
    2. do you get a lot of regulars?
    3. What do the girls normally do for the hour? What are the ranges of stuff they do? (here is where I point out that I'm not a prostitute, and I point out that yes, I think handjobs are prostitution.)

    4. also I want to know how much is their cut.

I've only ever NOT worked for one company (well, two-- the second because they wanted me to drive down to ventura) because the guy was an asshole talking about how he knows what it takes to be a good dancer.... the whole conversation with him was kind of off which is why I prefer to deal solely with women bosses on the party circuit.

    other than that, what else?

oh, I'll ask them what percentage of their girls use drivers or bouncers, and if they have any drivers that work for them.

I can't say I've had any bad experiences, except for one where I drove an hour away, hooked up another girl who I had talked to by phone, and met up with her there. She was black (not an issue but her hair was NOT cute and her skin was super ashy) showed up in nasty ass sweats, and ended up being PREGGERS!!!!

I felt SOOOOOOOO BAD! So I had the guys give her a travelling fee and got her the heck out of there and called another girl I knew to come down.

But, the thing was that there was supposed to be another two girls coming up from LA and the company wanted me to collect the fee, do the show, and then tell the guys that the girls were running late (full well knowing that the girls weren't going to show up.) I don't play that game so I told the guy what was up and he hashed it out with the company. Then me and girl #2 danced and made pretty good money. Always pays to be honest.

Very true. And when you go to that interview you ask alot of questions. See how long they have been in business as well, very important. Ask about security at the parties, clientel (which would make you seem like Vice) but you get the idea...questions are important.

Also, check to see who does the most advertising. Who has the big phonebook ads, and which agency comes up first when you google for "strippers" "adult entertainment" "your city." If they have a lot of money to spend on advertising, they are probably relatively successful, can get you good bookings, etc., and have a more professional/long-term business focus (as opposed to the take-your-money-and-run outfits). This is not fool-proof, obviously, but a good start.
