Bitchin'!
I wanna see!

Love this! But I've never seen a good show. Damn city lights.

In the summer, we'd always stop on the highway on our way to the lake and watch them from there. The road was always really quiet and it was super dark since we were in the middle of nowhere. So awesome.

There's a comet up there, too. Huxley, or Horton, or something. I'm pressed for time or i'd look it up. Google is your friend. Might be able to see it somewhere up there.

temple-tuttle.
and *wah* taken from the link in the op:
"Occasionally we'll pass directly through an unusually concentrated dust trail, or filament, which can spark a meteor storm resulting in thousands of meteors per hour. That's what happened in 1999, 2001 and 2002, because Tempel-Tuttle had through the inner solar system in 1998.
But now, the comet – and its dense trails of dust – have all receded far beyond Earth's orbit and back into the outer regions of the solar system. So this year there there is little if any chance of heightened activity."
I saw the Leonids back in '02 and it was the most amazing effing thing I've ever seen in the sky. I was hoping for a repeat but apparently not. *wah*
