    Default Lush advice

Damn you Latina Rose you started this Lush craze. lol

I'm going to order some bathbombs for the girls at work. We kind of buy something real small for everyone each Christmas. I think some people on here suggested snowcake as one. What are some other bath bombs that are pleasing to most people??

Plus, I want to pick up a perfume for myself. Of course something more for me!

Any lush ordering codes are welcome too!!

I think you should get karma bubble bars, or all that jasmine bombs. Those are both sents that are really pleasing. I remember reading that one of the xmas bombs had a lot of glitter in it and it was too much.....

snowcake is a soap. if youre looking for bombs, that isnt one

i think bubble bars are a better idea than bombs, personally. just because people expect bubbles in their bath, as LR has said before. and thats true, i think! the comforter would be nice, but its one of the big ones and a little more expensive. or if youre getting christmas ones, bling crosby is karma scented, and holiday has a great floral scent.

its hard to find scents that everyone likes if youre not sure what family of scents theyre into, you know?

I took a bath with the green hershey kiss shaped christmas bubble bar yesterday and it was soooo nice. Made the water so super pretty and smelled amazing!
I also have the bling crosby but i'm afraid of the glitter!

Have you tried going to a local Lush store if you have one near you?

OMFG!! I have never tried Lush but I found a store nearby me and went to it to get some gifts for friends. I was blown away at how amazing this stuff is...you all weren't joking! I owe all of you for turning me on to this fabulous stuff!

Anyway...I went and spent $80 in wrapped gift sets and recieved a free wrapped gift set...the snow fairy set I believe....and I got a bunch of samples and a free bar of soap! Not sure if the same kind of promo is going on near you but it's worth checking out. plus they also said they can custom make wrapped gift sets too....and this way you can check the smells and see works.

    Happy Shopping!

And that you again everyone for turning me onto Lush!

well then you should move closer to one! LOL! Just kidding. Hmmm.....what didn't I like? Of the bath bombs I liked sexbomb, tisty tosty (very romantic smelling), and butterfly. I also got a couple of the frosty the snowman gift packages as little gifts for friends. It was only $10 and seemed festive with mild scents.

Awww, look at all my little lushies...I'm so proud!!!

My fave gift for newbies is The Comforter, but you may want to go for one of the holiday items since they are more festive. Either way, stick to bubbles.

For yourself, you MUST pick up a Buffy!!!

Oh hell. I loaded up my (online) shopping cart this weekend, got all the way to checkout and said to myself, "wtf? You're really going to spend $150 on bath stuff? You don't even take baths!" and shut down my computer.

It's haunted me all day and I can't help myself. I NEED my lush. I only have one bath bomb left.

Lol, I love bubbles! I love sparkly bubbles even more.

I think it's finally cool enough outside (despite being 88F today) that I can order some of the melty stuff.

While we're on the subject of Lush...I got a dumb question and didn't wanna start a whole thread.

How much of the bath bomb/bar things do you use for a bath? I'm gonna get some Lush stuff later but I don't know how to use the stuff. lol

I used half of a bubble bar each time. For the bath bombs, I used half a few times and a whole a few times.

I always use a whole bomb. I tried a half once and was disappointed. I only use a small 1 inch square of the bubble bars and melts though.

get mr butterball if they still are in stock. its bigger than a butterball and costs less. are these things for the girls at work, still? get candy cane instead of creamy candy, too, if they have it, bc again its bigger. sex bomb is a pretty universal favorite, and big blue is nice. holiday bubble bar is a greeeeat smell, too. its like carnations and smells just like spring time.

for promos, google it whenever youre ordering.

depends. i used to use half a bomb (i always cocktail) but now i dont waste time trying to split them. always a whole one, unless im cocktailing with a lot of stuff and then i'll just break it up into pieces and use whatever. the bubble bars, it depends on my mood, which one it is (some bubble better), what else im using, etc. and melts.. i dont use those really anyway except mmm and floating island, but i toss them in after the bubbles are going down bc they mess with the bubbles.

So do you use a bath bomb AND a bubble bar at the same time?
That's alot for one bath. So one thing is only good for one bath? I'm scared I'll get a UTI or something.
I do wanna get that body bar thing that you rub on your skin and you get all smooth and shimmery! I love that stuff!
