I've been to Disney a couple of times & I wish I would have went to the Animal Kingdom park. After watching a special about it, it looks really cool. Plus, supposedly if you stay in the resort for that park there are animals not too far away, like you can see Giraffes & stuff from you're room.

OMG, I can't believe I missed this. I'm like the WDW Queen! I've been there in every month.

It's not crowded that week in December. The week between Christmas and New Year's is a NIGHTMARE!

Make sure you buy tix to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. They are not included in your park tickets, as it's a separate event.

    Have fun!!!

I got a Passholder discount when I went, so I'm not sure what they cost regularly. I think any party at Disney is worth it, but that's just me.

I also only stay on Disney Property so I haven't heard of the hotel you mentioned.

Try looking at Trip Advisor for some reviews.

According to the schedule,we're goin to miss the Xmas party....We're Going to Magic Kingdom on the 12th,no Xmas Party that day. Is it something we MUST see? Could maybe do MGM on the first day and Magic Kingdom on the 13th,which is the next show. Oh planning planning planning.....

Dylan...not everybody is able to do it big! lol Tryin to convince the man that we should do a value resort, but now the closest we can get is 8 miles away.
Get military discount,so the value resort shouldnt be much higher than the other one.
And yes,EVERYTHING is worth it in Disney. We went this past summer,Ahrie and I loved it so much we're going again.I think I loved it more, actually.LOL

Oops, we posted at the same time.

And I don't always do it big. I'm an Annual Passholder, so I get major discounts.

Is your man active military? Why don't you try Shades of Green?

This past summer i took Azaia with me.Missed out on a lot of rides together, because one always had to hold her.Would like to leave her here.I have a good sitter for the 3 days, but part of me feels guilty for not taking her.She is a year old nowso she might really enjoy. But then again,I dont want one holding baby and one waiting in line alone. Should I feel guilty?I plan on taking zaia when she's Ahries age too.....

Definitely check out Epcot - it's my favorite park. They have a whole world showcase with different countries - you can even buy a little passport for your daughter and have her get little stamps from each country. Be sure to take the boat ride in Norway. There is also an amazing German Christmas ornament shop that's open all year round. I've been to Disney World in Orlando many times in December and they really go all out on the Christmas decorations. Have fun and take lots of pictures. It's also fun to go to the Boardwalk and the Yacht and Beach club hotels. There is a little beach with ducks and walking the boardwalk is fun. You can get there via a free boat ride (which might be fun in itself) or by walking from the MGM or Epcot parks. The Disney hotels always have elaborate Christmas displays like huge gingerbread houses and train sets. It's really pretty neat. Also there is a fun place to go eat at the Beach Club near the pool called Beaches and Cream. It's a little '50s diner type place with great milkshakes and sundaes.

You just mentioned my fave places. I usually stay at the Yacht club and World Showcase is the BEST. (Especially the British Invasion).

The Maelstrom is a great mini thrill ride; we love it too. Did you know that they changed the movie inside the Mexico Pavillion? It's not that cheesey 70's porn looking thing anymore...it's now Disney characters.

you beat me to it.Thank you as far as planning goes.I'm ok in that area...just the events and stuff. The military helps plan (ITT) since I buy and reserve through them.
Me,my guy,and Ahrie are going. Not sure about Azaia. She went once a few months ago,and I plan on taking her on her own special trip next year or two.

Those resorts are pricey. The cheapest resorts are Value resorts...which inckude the all star music, all star movie, all star sports..... we were thinking of the all star movie resort, but it depends on price. 8 miles away from the park is a hotel for 3 nights,$180--before military disc. So gonna check that out first...

Id say leave the baby home. Shes not old enough to understand or really enjoy it. Not like she would at 3 or even maybe 2 years old. That week should be ok. Its the weeks kids have out from school that are the worst. My daughter has Dec 22-Jan 6th off. Thats when you want to be far away from the theme parks!

You might have missed my post, but did you look into Shades of Green? It's a military hotel on Disney Property.
