    Default Hair Tip

I have really thin greasy blonde hair that and I also have extensions (the sewn in kind) so I've always had to battling washing my hair too often (the extensions are a pain to dry). I've been using the Bumble and Bumble hair powder in white and it works soooo well. I've only been washing my hair 2 times a week and I used to wash it 5 times. It's a little pricey at $39 a pop but totally worth it.

and baby powder just doesn't work as well. It makes your scalp look very white and it doesn't have anything sticky to hold on to your hair.

That stuff is wayyyy cheaper (like half as much as Bumble). Have you ordered from them? Are they a reputable company?

^yes, I have the hairfix in brown also. She has an account on ebay which is where I initially purchased it. It's very fresh smelling, works well, and was shipped quickly. Not only is it cheaper, you get lots of product also. The difference I have found tho is that the bumble&bumble aerosol provides more "grip" to the hair which is good if you want to do back combing. Other than that, the hair fix works very well for absorbing greasies in between shampoos (and it takes out that "stale" hair smell)

I can't use baby powder or any white powder because it turns my part line grayish.

oh here she is she doesn't have anything for sale on ebay right now though. I think you would be fine ordering from the regular site though if you wanted to try it. She offers free shipping in the us, that's always a bonus.

I use this stuff from the drugstore called Pssst! that works better than baby powder. It takes me ages to wash/dry/style my hair so I love this stuff in between washings. It really helps get the smell of smoke out also.

Now I know brunette ladies can not use baby powder but since I am a blonde I can get away with it. Yes it smells like baby powder, but I dont usually smell it once I'm doing working it through. I like the fact that it's cheap so I can use as much as I want! Price per ounce is remarkably cheaper!

I find the best kind to use is Johnson and Johnson Regular/Plain Baby Powder. I have used other cheaper kinds, and they don't always work as well. But overall the Talc ones are okay. Stay away from constarch ones and also the realllly cheap talc ones.. they make my hair texture so weird, and look so bad that I end up shampooing it out!

I do get a white scalp if I use too much, so I try to be more careful. And if it's still white after brushing, I just slightly wet the inch or two of scalp that shows at my part in front and that takes care of that.

I guess I dont look for the baby powder to do anything other than soak up the grease.. Altho I have found the positives are it makes my hair look blonder, it gives me a lot more volume from the roots, and it makes my hair straighter!! Actually more often then not my hair looks better after I baby powder it than it does freshly after washing! And I use all good brand shampoos/cond's etc...

Biggest downside to me is static! It goes away if I pat my wet hands over it, or sometimes I'll use styling product instead, or a dryer sheet. But if I could find an even better solution that would be great!!!

I did try the Pssst! and I was really excited about it..but somehow all the spray released itself from the can and I wasted my money. I had read the reviews that the cans tend to do that but I bought one anyway. Wish it didnt, it sounded great!

Overall I may still try the bumble and bumble hair powder to use on lazy days because it is a spray..ease of application! But I cant afford to use it every other day and I just wanted to point out the cheaper alternative to the blondes on here BTW Does the B&B cause any static at all??

Wow I sure wrote a lot on baby powder lol

    LuckyOne you're welcome!
