Today was the busiest I'd ever seen it, yet I went home with less than I made yesterday...

"take it from me, to be a stripper, all you need to have is no talent!"

Oh, that sucks hon. You know what I noticed, I always seem to do really bad at work when there's a huge crowd and I can never figure out if it's me (because I feel more shy when there's tons of people in the club) or if it's just a cheap crowd, I hate it though.

I do worse in a crowd, also.
It's almost as though they tip less because there are more people. Sort of an "oh she must be making a ton of money on all these other people. She doesn't need my money, too." mentality?

I hate crowds, too. I think its partly because the crowds tend to be cheapskates, and partly because it gets too confusing and noisy when there is a crowd.
My MySpace Page:
When you perform... you are out of yourself--larger and more potent, more beautiful. You are for minutes heroic. This is power. This is glory on earth. And it is yours, nightly.

That is so true! They've done social psychology experiments where a research confederate asks for help. The more people there are around, the less likely they are to help the confederate, mostly because they are expecting other people to do it. Also, if you are in a big crowd, and you are seeing the people around you behaving in a certain way, you will behave accordingly; so . . . if a person in a strip club on a busy Saturday night doesn't see much people tipping for the stage shows or getting lap dances, he is less likely to tip or get dances than if there were less people around. We do what we see others do, unfortunately.

Our most crowded nights, Thur, Fri, Sat, are usually a younger crowd, partying with their friends. Those are the nights I make the best stage money, but unless a regular is in, it can be hard to get dances from the young'ns. Most money I ever made was on a Sunday, a notoriously slow day.

^^^That is so true, a lot of times when it's crowded, the crowd consists of a lot of young guys. I can usually get stage tips from them, but they don't buy many dances.
I don't like working when it's really busy, unless people are just grabbing me and saying "Let's do a dance." I get overwhelmed and don't know which guys to start hustling. And sometimes when it's really busy, I'll forget which guys I already asked for a dance and I'll ask them again. They'll give me a weird look and say "You already asked me."![]()
That's really true what Brendita said too about guys assuming you're making so much money when it's busy. There have been times where the club was packed, but only a couple guys were sitting at the stage and the lap dance room was empty.
