Default Writing to a Dancer. Good idea or asking for trouble???

At a club that I frequently visit, there are two dancers that always get my undivided attention. I'd like to write them "Fan Mail" and let them know how much of a fan I am of thiers. I have this weird notion that I'd be headed into a world of trouble if I do so. Can I get some thoughts and ideas from dancers so I can best communicate whats on my mind? Would a letter or buying a private dance from them be the best course of action???

Writing a letter might make you appear to be a bit pathetic. I dont want to sound nasty or harsh by saying this but I think you might embarrass yourself and they will know that they have you by the balls if you do so.

    Just buy dances and enjoy.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Money talks, hon. It will show your appreciation more than any letter alone would. As someone else said, hand them the envelope with the letter folded around the money. They will be able to pick you out in a crowd after that!

Good choice Vinnie. It's nice to know that we can be helpful, on occasion. When we're tired and not in the mood for practical jokes. I'm teasing - definitely good to ask before doing.

I had another thought. Is it safe to walk up to a dancer and strike up a conversation or buy her a drink? I'd like to shoot the breeze with a dancer but not get stomped on by a bouncer.

Um, yes. But you are obliged - and I seriously mean OBLIGED - to buy a dance after that.

Dancers go to work to earn a living.

If you acknoweldge that and are happy to pay the dancer for her time while being entertained, then I don't think there'll be any complaints.

Dancers are like the rest of us, they go in to work to have a productive and non-stressful day. If you're happy to tip and be respecful to the dancer, I think you'll find you're talking to one happy dancer!

I would cry and probably tell everyone the guy was a freaky scary stalker. Buy a fucking dance, and give the girl a big ass tip, and tell her you loved it. That's how to be a fan in a SC. Spend all your money on them. If it's a feature that travels around, models, etc, then fan mail isn't so scary. But if it's just an entertainer in a club, that comes off stalkerish.

A few months ago I went into work and one of the door guys gave me this gift bag and said a custie dropped it off for me. It really looked like it had something in it so I got kind of excited. Unfortunately it contained only a card with some sappy Hallmark poem and a letter from him begging for my attention. He could have at least slipped a $20 in there! That would have gotten my attention for sure.

I received "fan" mail before, and it freaked me out. Made me think I was about to get stalked.

Like everyone else said, buy dances and give a fat tip.

Writing a letter is fine...just be sure to add some extra "paper" to it. That goes for any customer, not just the OP.

You want to be a fan:

    1. buy her a book that she'd like and write a short two-line note telling her how awesome she is, and then sign it "your biggest fan."

    or,
    2. go get a shirt made saying "Nadira's #1 fan" or whatever. plus points if you find a really witty saying communicating the same idea.
