    Default La Boheme Denver

So I'm starting work at Cheerleaders Player's Club Friday (tomorrow), but want to eventually work at La Boheme. I want to avoid the PT's chain. I was just wondering what the normal average size of the girls at La Bo is-am I looking at a bunch of size 0s or like size 7s? Just need to know what I should be getting down to since I just had my baby and am still shedding some of that weight and all that other stuff (which is why I'm at Cheerleaders for the moment).
    Thanks for any help!

^^^ I've seen teeny, tiny girls there as well as curvier girls... Thier variety isn't as wide as Shotgun's, but it's definately not cookie cutter like Penthouse when they first opened. As long as you're porpotional, you'll be fine.

Isn't she, though? My advice has gone from, "From the customer standpoint, here's what I see..." to, "Uh, just wait till Mia answers."

How did your first day go at Cheerleaders?? Hope it went well. I know it must be hard to go back to work after the baby! I plan to audition at La Bo and Shotguns after I finish school on the 13th of next month. I need to find a club that is alright with me only working one or two scheduled shifts per week...that is pretty much the deciding factor. That and the fact that I am a size 7 and don't want to get any lower than a size 5 just to be able to work. I like my curves...haha.

Just an FYI, PT's bought out La Boheme last month. I have a blog about it on my myspace account.

Yepp. PT's did just buy La Bo. I don't know if all managment is going to be there. I know our (I work at the Diamond) day time DJ spins there during the day so I could find out more. But we're sending one of our managers over there sometime this week. Why are you wanting to stay away from PT's? Overall I find diamond to be one of the best clubs I've worked at. I've worked at La Bo... for a night and thought it was kinda hard to make money. It just requires a lot of hustle as where diamond we get spoiled. I've worked there for a year and asked maybe two people for dances? You don't have to work.

I've only ever worked at the Diamond (*waves to fellow D-girl*), and I've found that PT's takes their stuff pretty seriously, so there's a surprising lack of managerial asshattery, and it's pretty low drama too... I know it's a giant corporation, but they're good at what they do... Just my $.02.

First of all, i'm very flattered you girls still refer to me as "our dj" good to know i havent been forgotten. 2nd the pt's buyout hasn't really changed the clubs dynamic really, if at all. The only real changes are to these bizarro dance dollars instead of chips. gimme a call sometime lilmiss, i miss our exchanges of scandalous tales

Have you moved to La Bo ?

I hope at clubs like Diamond, La Bo , and Pt's you don't have to be a size 0. I'm 5'8'' and 140-145 , so I'm a "sturdy" dancer, but I'm pretty toned.

I'm of simlar proportions to you (two inches shorter, 10 pounds less), and I did beautifully at PT's in Denver last year. I can't wait to go back.

    MissLizzy :

I am so glad that you wrote and mentioned PT's .

This is one of the places I'm going next week to check out ! I heard the atmosphere is very much a party atmosphere ( reg. nightclub upstairs , lots of co-ed traffic , topless on on side, nude on other side for anyone who needs a nutshell background .... lizzy ..... add details if I got anything wrong) . I wasn't sure if that atmosphere would be a good selling environment, so I'm excited to know you did well. I'm used to seeing full stages ( Utah SC's are stage only ) , so I really respond well to a stage crowd .

    Thanks !

Would you mind if I asked if you worked weekdays or weekends ? Preference for one over the other ?

I'm PM'ing you with a big long thing of details about PT's, right now.

Short answer: I only worked weeknights, and loved it.

No, but I heard Gidget got a portion of the cut. If you want to see her I hear she is over at Shag Lounge.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Which PT's did you work at? Isn't there more than one? Oh, and does anyone know who is managing @ La Bo now?

I had my first night at La Bo last night. It's been a loooooong time since I last danced so I would say that I was kinda rusty. I still had a pretty good night. I made a lot more stage money than I thought I would. It was my first time ever dancing in Colorado so it was an adjustment from what I had been previously use to in So Cal.

I did think it was a beautiful club and the staff was pretty nice. All in all a pretty decent atmosphere to work in. Having no pole to work just about broke my heart though haha! I really need to learn to build up some confidence sans pole. I think once my hustle gets strong again and I learn more about the way the club works I'll be able to rake in more cash. I met my goal for my first night back so that made me happy.

    Ava:

I heard there were some clubs in Denver without poles ! I would get so lost without one , but could possibly adjust. Are there rails or anything to grab and lean against or just little circle stages ? I will try to find their website and answer my own question. I'm glad to hear the $ is decent.

I heard ( can't remember where ) that Lo Bo can be a hard sell sometimes. Was it easy to sell dances if you are a decent hustler ?

Carmen, well technically they have poles on these two little mini stages on top of either end of the bar. However, the poles are very short and there really isn't much room to do anything but little twirls. There is also a platinum stage type deal with a pole near the entrance but I don't think I saw anyone use it all night.

The 3 main stages are used the most and they have no poles. The main stages are roundish and have sort a knee rest pad all the way around to lean on. One of the stages has a large mirror wall behind it. It was hard for me at first but I honestly don't think the guys cared too much. I just focused on giving everyone good eye contact and big smiles. I felt like I made decent stage money with little effort by playing it "cute".

I feel like I could have done better with selling dances but like I said my hustle is very rusty and I was kinda nervous. However I did sell a good amount of dances with little or no hustle so I was glad for that.

The main goal for this club is to get yourself bought of the list and sell bottles in the VIP. This is where the real money is. I wasn't able to do either last night but I did sell a pretty good amount of table dances so now I just have to work on my hustle. Hopefully I'll do better this weekend and exceed my goal .

I hope that helps. I think Lo Bo is probably like all clubs...some girls will like working there and some won't. Good Luck!!

I find dances a pretty easy sale; I'm not exactly a veteran at La Boheme but I think girls with hustle should do really well at this club.

I was also at a loss without poles at first but it didn't last long.
