Confidence traditionally comes from the trial and error of experience. You judge a customer by his visceral appearance and actions and then proceed to make the sale. You have confidence in yourself from knowing what to do and not to do. Someone who makes a point of pointing out a lack of confidence in another person as a method of interacting with them is playing a head game. They don't really know. In head game chess you would throw something back at them. Usually "you remind me of this .......... " Story tellers are fine. Psyhcoanalysts are insecure
