There was. Scroll down the forums list to Political Poo and read some of the abuse and heated argumentation that took over until it was closed to keep the peace. Now all the political poo goes in the unmoderated Member Boards.
I've noticed that before, but wondered why political posts were then allowed elsewhere. Or do they sort of "die out" or at least lose some intensity if mixed with other topics perhaps?

Not a big deal, just glad things are calmer now.

In Dollar Den, it is often impossible to discuss some financial issues without also including some related politically based discussion because such issues have a gov't / political component that affects the financial equation. A recent example is the discussion of the future availability of mortgage loans for dancers, which is mired in political policies regarding bailouts, taxpayer guarantees of 'subprime' mortgages etc. that are currently under discussion in various states and in Washington DC.
But 100% political stuff is not permitted on the moderated forums, thus must be posted in the 'Wild West' a.k.a. the unmoderated Member Boards area.
