    Default Life after a BA

Today is my 5th day post-op. I'm not really in any pain except for muscle soreness from laying in the same freaking position (on my back) every night. The only problem is going from an A cup to a D, everything feels really tight and stretched and I'm moving really slow, I feel like a zombie. They're starting to drop, the right one more than the left but they've got a ways to go.

I know I'm being impatient.. but when am I going to start feeling normal again? How long did it take all of you ladies with BA's to feel human again?

That's what I was figuring. Thanks! I guess I need to learn to be patient.

Yea you are but who doesn't want to get back to normal asap? Took me about a 3 weeks to feel normal. I also had food poisoning my 2nd week bad and the 3rd week I felt I could drive again. Give it time sheesh its your 5th day. They just cut your body open 5 days ago so no one is going to feel fabulous after that. Best thing you can do is give your body what it needs to heal. Rest, good nutrition and some good movies to pass the time.

I felt ok like 3 days after and great like 10 days after..I'm sure it would have been less if I hadn't of had my nose done as well. I think each individual person has a different healing pace. You'll be fine in a couple of weeks for sure!

I got mine 12 days ago.... today I finally woke up feeling like a human, and you know, the doctors don't give you refills of the good stuff, so I was trying to survive on ibuprofen.... useless!!! One of my nipples is super sensitive ,so I was thinkin to put some baby orajel on that area to help a little... we'll see. I think everyone is different, just take it easy and don't push yourself or you'll spend even more time recovering.
    Hope you feel better soon!!!

It was 6 weeks before I could sleep on my side! That was the hardest part! Aside from that, I was able to drive and go to class and such after about 2 weeks.

I did mine 10 days ago and today is the first day I feel 'pretty-ok'.

My doctor was such a liar, she said I would be good to get back to school on day 3, that was such bullshit. Even yesterday I had really bad nausea and exhaustian.

The boobs are still really uncomfortable though I am sleeping on my side already and that helps a lot.

Somehow we will get through this and after a month or so we will forget how much the recovery sucked.

Yeah jaiz, I'm going to post pics. My camera battery died and I lost the charger, I ordered a new one from ebay so it should be here anytime now and you guys will have more boob pics than you'll know what to do with

I went back to class today and did fine except for a horrendous stabbing pain, I called my doc and he said it's normal because the implant is probably just moving and it's in a spot it hasn't been in before. The pain is better now, but it was unbearable pretty much all day.

I was wondering when it would be safe to sleep on my side again.. Can I just start sleeping on my side when I feel up to it?

Thanks for all the posts and help ladies!

I was back driving after a week, and was back to work at around two and a half weeks. I felt pretty normal after two weeks though, but I guess I heal quick. I never took any pain meds either, so I didn't hafta battle the nausea that comes with it.

So is it the pain meds that cause the nausea not the operation itself?

Its a bunch of things. Some people get nausea from the anesthesia or pain meds. Oh yea theres the don't eat 12 hours before your surgery thing. No food makes me sick.

Imnot looking forward to that. I can handle pain more than I can handle nausea.

Ask your doc what you can do if you get nausea at home. What meds would be ok for you etc. Mine gave me a take home suppository....I don't like waxy things in my bum. Never used it.

You'll be fine. Hope you have some healthy foods at home for the time you can't cook for yourself.

Its scary I know. My BA was my 1st surgery ever. I just laid back and they put the good white stuff in and before I could realize I was falling asleep.. I woke up and it was over.

I haven't really had nausea from the pain meds. I did however have nausea right after the surgery from anesthesia, I just burped twice and threw up a bit of jello and water that I had just consumed and I was back to normal. If you wake up from anesthesia nauseated, just try to burp and throw up!
