Well, we are already at about 4200 feet elevation here at the base of the mountain, and the I drove to the trailhead which is about 800 feet higher. So it was only about 3,000 feet of vertical gain. It's the lowest of the three mountains around Ogden.
But it took me a lot longer than I thought it would. I trained for about three months, going a little farther up the trail every day. But when I did the whole hike, it was six hours up and six hours back down. The last two hours were after the sun went down, and let me tell you, it is DARK on the east side of a mountain after the sun sets.
But I am real proud that I made it. Thanks for your comments!
