...and I was there! *cue dramatic music*
Last night my honey was working the night shift at Blockbuster, and he forgot his work shirt, so he called me and had me come bring it to him. I was so tired that I almost didn't go, but I figured I didn't want him getting in trouble. So I brought the shirt and stayed there at the store with his two coworkers and him until close, because I was too lazy to walk home.
We finally all got out the door after they finished closing, and then we said goodnight and my honey and I started walking home, as his coworkers (his manager, "M", and a fellow cashier, "C") went to C's car to carpool home. Then all hell broke loose. Sorta.
Well, my boyfriend and I made it home just fine, but when we woke up this morning, we got a phone call from another coworker telling us that as soon as we left, M and C got held up at gunpoint! Apparently the gunman was hiding behind the dumpster, and when my honey and I turned the corner around the building and were out of sight, he went up to M and C. He said "Is the girl gone? I don't want her involved." (OMG I was mentioned!) then proceeded to take their cellphones, tie C up, cut the store phone line, then force M to open the store and cleaned all the cash out. He also said he was an ex-employee, but they couldn't tell who because he had a ski-mask on.
I was really excited/scared to learn that it happened MOMENTS after we turned the corner. I also feel proud, because I unknowingly saved my boyfriend that night! If I hadn't been there, my honey may have gotten tied up! Or worseBut he was with me, and the robber waited till I was gone.
So now I'm gonna call myself a hero. Yay me![]()
