    Default Hair Trigger

I just got home from work and I'm pretty sure I'm fired. The first thing I notice inside is a sign that reads, "Don't stack dances. You are required by the club to collect per dance." So, naturally, I ignore this and take it up with my boss. I'm pretty sure he hates me anyway. Coked out custy X states his case and being drunk dancer X, I state mine. I'm pretty sure cokeX wins. I then proceed to drive home. I'm feeling pretty good about myself now. Just the way my fucking week has been going........

after the week I have had, I have a hair trigger. I almost got into a fight over the weekend. Are you kidding me ? I'm 32 !!!!!!! So besides the family crap, I'm probably going to need a new job. Sweet.

And how is your week going?

Oh dear.... looks like you're on the clubs shit list. That is so lame. Maybe you can work elsewhere till this all blows over?

My week is outstanding! Thanks! Money's okay and I'm not pregnant and tonight I was in the company of a friend who loves me. (Probably not what you wanted to hear!)

I see you saying a lot in your posts that people hate you or dislike you. Would you like to take a look at that?
"She held me close and whispered in my ear how wonderful I was. Since I'm not wonderful. I was pretty sure this was a trap. So I figured I'd better grope her as much as I could before they sprung the trap. You've got to take what you can get in this life. I read that in a magazine. So I started smearing kisses on her and pawing the front of her dress, trying to get my money's worth before somebody bashed my head in." John Swartzwelder

Interesting that you say that because I have been taking a look at it. I think I have just gotten caught up in a ball of weird energy. I know how crazy that sounds. I'm trying to get out of it but easier said than done.

and seriously, when it rains it pours.......

And I AM glad to hear that your week is going well !

For what it's worth, *I* like you.

More along the lines of giving them something to complain about, since playing victim gets tedious and time consuming.

With regard to the coked customer, I'd have to have more details to provide an illustration.

I'm just saying that, if you think that you're going to be fired anyway, then there isn't a consequence to ignoring management direction any more, so see what you can do. You shouldn't rob or hurt anyone, but if you aren't going to be there much longer, speak your mind and do what you think would be fun.

Fun ? Are you serious ? I think paying the bills is fun. I think having spending money is fun.

Who are you ? Not a dancer obviously....

    Damn Twist!

Where are you at? It doesn't sound good. Not right now anyway. Wanna take a little break and come play where I'm at? Let things blow over?

I'm sorry to hear your having such a crappy week sweety. I'll keep my fingers crossed it gets better.

If it's any consolation I may have gotten fired tonight too....for not tipping the VIP hostess enough. I dunno.....

And sorry I'm whiny lately. But let's face it, this week was awful. I don't have anywhere else to complain without adding fuel to the fires.

Sometimes we get so caught up in a belief that it becomes reality. If people are reacting negatively to you, it does not mean you're a jerk. It means you're carrying around a belief that you're not a likable person. It might help if you looked at the first time you thought you weren't likable, what you were seeing/smelling/hearing/experiencing and who you were with, and what that made you decide about yourself.

Venting is VERY human and healthy. Everyone needs a friend or two or a few who is just willing to hear them.

Well if you read my other posts and you realized that my entire family turned on me (screaming and all) because they found out I am a stripper over thanksgiving, then maybe you would get where this comes from.

Twist hun, I am so sorry they were jerks to you. It sucks big time. But you are a great girl, I've met you, and I thought you were fan-fucking-tastic! So don't let their neg. attitude weigh you down.

At least, try not to. I know it's hard.

So have you got a hobby or anything that'll help you relax a little?

Not easy in your present situation I know, but something that'll take your mind off your troubles for an hour or two might make you less stressed.

If I'm stressed I retire to the bath with a book I really want to read and a long, cold, mildly alcoholic drink. I then emerge an hour later with something more of a smile on my face.

    Try something similar....

    Phil.

    I have SW.

At least I came to my senses and realized that leaving my current club is not the worst thing that could happen. Laughable actually. I have tunnel vision lately.

I second the bad energy thing. You had crap happen and the more bad you feel the more bad will come.

Their reactions say nothing about you. I imagine that the old belief of "I am unlikeable" goes back further. Did the event just confirm something you believed about them and yourself before? Take another look.
