Can kill, but normally don't. I have them in a book, many myths surround them. I like Tarantulas, but only read very little about these.
Every spider is venemous. They are just too small to penetrate our skin!
I mean i can do without them, that is why i have a ton of large Geckos in my home...i rolled over on a spider one night a few years back felt it. It welted up, but soon went down...little shits.
This is a myth. All spiders use venom to kill their prey, but usually the venom is...non-venomous to other animals. It doesn't have anything to do with the size of their fangs.
Camel spiders aren't even real spiders anyway.
My friend found me a camel spider outside my work *not the strip club, my other work* a few months ago. She caught it and brought it to me cause everyone knew to bring funky creatures to me when they found them.
I kept it on my desk for the rest of the day to creep people out....then let it go.
Too creepy for even me to love.
I'm not an arachnophobe but I damn sure don't want to meet one of those guys.
I see. I read they all have venom, just that most are too small to penetrate the skin to bite and can't hurt us/animals. Their mouths that is, they can't get a bite.
And we wont react because we don't get enough if we are bit. Talking about the well known "house spiders" as some will, some wont react to a Tarantula bite.
Interesting.
Nnnn....nnnnnn.....nggggggh!
Aw.![]()
I love arachnids. They're intreresting critters.
My ex found a spider living on our patio a while back and started throwing bugs in its web to feed it lol! It was like his pet spider! It was so amazing to watch it wrap it's prey up in it's web and then eat it. I got a whole new appreciation for spiders then...but as long as they stay outside.

OH MY GOD! Wow! Now I have the heebie jeebies! They look like gigantanormous tan ants. Icky!
I can't even click the link. Can't do it.
It's incredible, I can jump out of a plane, I can hold together a fore head that's been split open and I can drive a truck up the side of a mountain, no problem. But put a little eight legged bug in front of me and I'm a mess!
I wonder if he gets a Purple Heart for that bite?
Anyway, a spider bite has much less impact than a West Nile mosquito needling. I don't kill spiders. I tell them to snag those skeeters.

But their so fuzzy and cute!
Hugs and Hissessss,
Maria

Yea until they throw their hair off the rump at ya...lol
Itches like a mother___! Or give a good bite, and you're allergic to bees etc. I have seen a few bites come through the hospital. And those hairs can throw a person who is sensitive to them in a fit!
I have a rude tarantula who sheds her hairs if I come within a foot of her.
Then I have a sweet well tempered guy who has never attempted to do it, even when I touch him.
But I don't touch them much. They're more for lookage than touchage.
Ok I'm going to open this, die and come back to life...
I think I just puked a little in my mouth!
Lol i know what you mean. They do make good display critters, but they are so fragile that when people hold them i'm like....DUDE, their legs break so easy and many have died due to a very short fall.
I had a Mexican Red Leg for years. Man the hair, i did not want to eat him..lol. Beautiful critters.![]()
Lol....how true. And beautiful!
Ummm Birdeater...okay, i don't mess with them they are FAST!!!!! LOL

I'm a pretty good sized woman, but one thing that will turn me into a screaming, panicking little girl is a spider of any size or sort. I get the itchies just looking at that pic. God they scare the shit out of me.![]()

We have a wolf spider that lives in our house. He's killed so many bugs in the summer time that I cannot bring myself to push him back outside (it soooo cold) or kill him (ie suck him up in the vacuum).
Makayla would freak out at the sight of him, but we kept telling her, "He eats the bugs that bite you. So, he's kind of protecting you, in a way. If we killed him, who would eat those bugs?" So, now she doesn't scream her head off...and she named him "Hairy Ramon" (I have not a clue where she got this from).
I've seen camel spiders before and they scare me. Most spiders I won't go out of my way to catch, but I try to leave them alone around the house (the only ones I will kill if I find them are black widows and brown recluses). If they leave us alone, we leave them alone.
