Don't participate in them playing on your stupidity!
The prettier your food is, the less likely it's organic. There are all sorts of tricks to make it pretty and perfect looking. Carbon dioxide exposure is a favorite, as is irradiation and genetic modification.

Trader Joe's pledged to use no GMOs in their stores, absolutely none. So, they food there may not be organic, but no one's monkeyed with its genetic code (cause, y'know, it's a good idea to screw with the way things have been for thousands of years without knowing the consequences). Whole foods has a larger organic food supply (and higher prices), but some of the food may have been messed with on the nucleic acid level.

It's pretty nifty.

You know how you can tell whether or not something's been genetically modified?

It'll have the #4--- on it. Organic produce always starts with #9------. Soem of you might already know this. But I thought it was neat and now I always look at those stickers on my apples when I go shopping.

Or just 5 numbers (starting with a 9) as opposed to 4.

^oh, I dunno, I thought conventional produce started with all different numbers. Just meaning organic produce has 5 numbers
    and conventional has 4.

I've been eating organic for a while now, and I can feel a difference. I can wake up in the mornings (I used to sleep walk through half my day), I've got more energy, my thinking is clearer, my skin is clearer, my waist is slimmer (despite eating things like organic butter, organic half and half, organic ice cream etc.) and my over all health is better.

When I go out to eat, I feel ill for a couple of days after. Not just stomach aches, but sluggish and depressed, too. I've learned my lesson. Only eat at organic restaurants, or just order hot tea.

I should also add that I gave up soda completely. Not even diet soda. I think this has a huge impact on my health.

Try reading the book "Skinny Bitch". It has lots of good advice delivered in a irreverent (but no B.S.) way. The book isn't really about following a diet plan as much as avoiding the crap food that causes health problems and obesity in the first place.

No problema :-) I love finding cool helpful gadgets. I don't think you have to sign up for it either, just input your zip code or city and it works like yahoo maps with "pins" on the map. (Sorry, unless you mean the delivery program itself....just thought of that)
