Default An Idea for a Different Work Place

For years, I've pondered exactly why I go into clubs. Last week I saw "From Here to Eternity" which featured a "dance club." Minimal charge to get in, talk and / or dance with the lady of your choice, pay for time as it passes, maybe give the lady a side tip. Brown bag, so no liquor issues, no food so no food license issues. Everyone stays dressed, just has a good time. Sort of like walking into a pre-arranged blind date. Return customers would be less like blind dates and more like a real date. But, back to why do I go into clubs, I go to find someone to talk to. I've been reading here for a long time, there are lots of threads that address men just wanting to talk. You ladies know much better than I do, I would think a nice place, large enough to feel like a party, nicely lit with intimate seating areas, couches, comfortable chairs, dance area, set-ups available, would be something lots of men would go to. I'm in Atlanta, we certainly have a large population, and tons of ads for upwards of $2.98 a minute phone talk to a girl you don't even see. Am I just nuts? I think this would have promise. We'd call it The LadyShop or something sort of catchy, have a tag line of "Come have a date with a beautiful girl", it would be low to no impact, no laws would be broken, no lines crossed. You'd flirt, make them feel like a million bucks, make maybe as much as $400 - 500 a night (I haven't done a business plan, I'm thinking the normal man walking through the door would part with $60 - 75 per hour, maybe 30 men in seven hours, six or seven girls.) But my quesion here is do you think it would work? I do. Even when I go see my ATF, knowing I'm going to give her $200 or so in an hour, I just sit with her. Of course, we met dancing, but I've moved past that with her, and suspect I was past that with her the minute I met her, if we had met in a setting that did not include dancing. Your thoughts?

there aren't enough customers interested in buying that sort of exp. for it to work. maybe i'm just jaded, but i'm SUPER lucky to find a customer who doesnt almost immediately ask for sex anymore. i used to have 4 or 5 really great regulars who wanted the conversation/date type deal, now i have 0.

I'm doubtful it would work. Guys tend to want "more".

They have that in LA. They're called hostess clubs. They have dance floors, movies, and dark rooms where you can get mega extras.

Thanks. Those mega extras would be the downfall of what I have in mind. I was just thinking that I would need such a small population of men, compared to the number of men SCs need in ATL to do well. I think the club search pulls up 25 clubs in ATL.

Umm, you do realize that a "dance hall hostess" like the one Donna Reed played in that movie was just 50's era code for a prostitute, don't you?

You know what would kill this idea? The very same thing that is hurting strip clubs, and adult bookstores. Its right in front of you.

In any case, I can see strip clubs headed in the direction of what you're talking about, as a legal loophole. The only difference will be...well...there will likely be mega extras going on, either in a dark room or off the premises. LE will catch on eventually and the authorities would begin to insist on the same regulatory BS that strip clubs have to abide be. In fact, the "taxi dance" places you saw in that movie came under exactly such an attack in cities around the country.

Those place ironically enough flourished during Prohibition, and once Prohibition ended, they began their state of decline. I can only see them returning in the event the authorities start cracking down on booze again.

Doc, I appreciate your thoughtful response. And sure, I know what these places can be and where they can go. My question is: could it be clean and operate successfully? No fantasy, no implications, just come in and spend some time with a pretty lady. Would guys do it? I think I'd do it, I know I would for the right lady. I know lots of what's on the internet (or I think I do) and would not trade a single image for a few minutes with someone I like. What I don't know is how much interest there would be if in fact there was no chance on anything happening. We all know that in a few minutes, with enough money, we can have almost anything we want at our door thanks to the very popular and very legal, and socially acceptable Craig's List. I'm thinking there is a market, it doesn't have to be very large, for men who want to spend time, low impact, low drama, with a pretty girl nicely dressed. I don't think this idea would attract the average SC customer, but from what I can tell they are becoming somewhat more scarce and a lot less generous anyway.

I've seen this in foreign countries. I'm pretty sure prostitution was involved too though. It was mostly white women who were the patrons. Black men were the product. I'd never seen anything like it before.

Western Euro clubs are similar to this. The girls make money hustling the guys to buy champagne, off of which we got a serious cut. Very little lapdancing, you have to be very clever and know how to manipulate a conversation.

IMO, I preferred getting naked and writhing on the man's crotch. The only thing coming out of his mouth is his hanging tongue, with two glazed eyes above.

The PL "talkers" are the neediest and most annoying lot out of the customer universe. And you would only expect to charge them $60-75 per hour? How much of that will the girls get?

This sounds like like a business plan, and more like your motivation for getting more for less money.
