For years, I've pondered exactly why I go into clubs. Last week I saw "From Here to Eternity" which featured a "dance club." Minimal charge to get in, talk and / or dance with the lady of your choice, pay for time as it passes, maybe give the lady a side tip. Brown bag, so no liquor issues, no food so no food license issues. Everyone stays dressed, just has a good time. Sort of like walking into a pre-arranged blind date. Return customers would be less like blind dates and more like a real date. But, back to why do I go into clubs, I go to find someone to talk to. I've been reading here for a long time, there are lots of threads that address men just wanting to talk. You ladies know much better than I do, I would think a nice place, large enough to feel like a party, nicely lit with intimate seating areas, couches, comfortable chairs, dance area, set-ups available, would be something lots of men would go to. I'm in Atlanta, we certainly have a large population, and tons of ads for upwards of $2.98 a minute phone talk to a girl you don't even see. Am I just nuts? I think this would have promise. We'd call it The LadyShop or something sort of catchy, have a tag line of "Come have a date with a beautiful girl", it would be low to no impact, no laws would be broken, no lines crossed. You'd flirt, make them feel like a million bucks, make maybe as much as $400 - 500 a night (I haven't done a business plan, I'm thinking the normal man walking through the door would part with $60 - 75 per hour, maybe 30 men in seven hours, six or seven girls.) But my quesion here is do you think it would work? I do. Even when I go see my ATF, knowing I'm going to give her $200 or so in an hour, I just sit with her. Of course, we met dancing, but I've moved past that with her, and suspect I was past that with her the minute I met her, if we had met in a setting that did not include dancing. Your thoughts?
