Default So, I've recently gone over the 2K mark, and my question is...

So, I've recently gone over the 2K mark in a night (well, just a lil less after all the tip outs, and I while I'm ecstatic(!!), I guess I'm wondering this..

I hear girls talking about 5K night, or this, or that - how do they do that??!! For me to almost clear 2K AFTER tip out (would have been 2K, but then lost another 10% in funny money fees ) I have to spend hoursssss in the vip, sell bottles, etc..

I don't see HOW any girl can make over double that in one night with all the tip outs, funny money fees, house fees, etc. I don't want to just "assume" that they're doing extras, but are they?? It doesn't seem to be (literally) possible without doing them..

Is it large tips in addition to their hourly rate?
Are they charging more for "non extra" services (i.e. just the reg. room thing)?

It's not that I'm unhappy with what I'm making (lately I've been in 7th Heaven!!), it's just that it has me wondering how it's possible to make sooooo much more, when for me to make the 2K, I'm doing 4-5 hours VIP.

    Any words of wisdom?

    Pre-payment for a hook-a-date.

20% tip on top of an extremely long VIP.

Huge tips. You can't actually sell something that costs that much in a strip club (well, you can sell a $1000/hr VIP, but I doubt that's the case terribly often). Not with $20 dances and $500 hours.

The most money I ever made was 3600 dollars. Yes, I was in VIP for 9 hours straight with a lovely gentleman. He was awesome. He gave the host his credit card and said,"when the sun comes up I will leave."

That was a freak event. When you start making upwards of 2000 dollars, what's happening is a customer is giving you rediculously large amounts of money, but as a tip. There is no way, unless I would have been in VIP for 12 hours, that I would have made that. You need to find a generous guy who will give you thousands of dollars for no reason but he likes you. I've found a guy like that, who paid me 2 grand for 2 hours (and my cousin too) but that's it. You need the crazy tippers.

(And it's not something that I think you can hustle. I think this is mostly luck, when the money starts flying that crazy)

$3600 in one night is fantastic. Most girls would not see that in one night in their entire careers. Your $5000 goal is not too far off. Go for it! It may take a year or two but it looks like you are on the right road.

It's getting enormous tips on top of your hour! Our hours are $300/hr. In order to make $2k, you have to be in VIP 5-6 hours and get tipped on top of it. It's a rare thing, wish it happened more often!

    So it's the tips...

Thinking about it, I really almost NEVER get a tip - of any amount, small of large.

I can often get a guy to do a second hour, so they must be enjoying my time ( I don't promise "extras" or anything for the second hour), but they don't tip.

The guys I end up in rooms with seem to be the type that are more in it for "sport" and spend our time together trying to get OTC. Oh, wait - lol, maybe that's EVERY man...?!?

Oregon - thanks, but actually I (OP) didn't make 3600, that was VegasPrincess.. (Vegas - YOU GO GIRL )

I've just recently hit 2K (tiny bit less b/c of funny money fees).

To reiterate - It's not really a "goal" I just see how hard I'm hustling (and of course getting lucky) to make 2K, and it's made me wonder how ANYONE could be LEGITIMATELY making over double that!

At the end of yoru session, right before you leave the room, say, "Thank you so much! Now if you'd like to take care of my tip, we'll be all done! Of course it's not required, but it's always appreciated!" I've never NOT gotten tipped this way. If you just expect it as a normal part of business, the guy will go along. Just be polite, but present it as part of doing business with you in the room.

Not allowed . We are strictly PROHIBITED from asking for ANY tips. Our first day = we're fired if we're caught asking for ANY TIPS, of ANY KIND. We are allowed to "accept" tips if they're offered without us instigating the situation Oh well. NY, Sweet NY...

Can you mention tips at all? Indirectly? For instance, dropping hints like, "Oh, the last time I was in this room, the guy I came back with tipped so well!" Or if he asks about the room price, what percentage you get to keep, or any other matter relating to how you get paid you can say "Oh, they take XX as their cut, but anything we get tipped is all our to keep, so we really appreciate that." Nothing like "If you'd like to tip me," or "Tips are appreciated," but more like "Tips are awesome! I get good ones frequently!"

Very good suggestions Susan. I really try to bring up tips in the politest way possible because I do feel awkward asking for them. However, it became very apparent that where I currently work it's the norm so I've adopted it.

Also, our VIP hosts asks the custy for us when they are running the card if "they would like to include a tip for the lady", and that helps immensely!

To make $5K+, it's about finding the right guy, knowing how to work him and yes, getting tipped more than the cost of the room when doing multiple hours.

I've also had guys ask me how much should they tip and I throw out a huge amount. Sometimes they do it and other times we work our way down. I do work in a tourist driven area so I have rare repeat business so I do think your hustle has to adapt to demographics.

I think once you've broken a personal record you will start making more because you know that amount is not impossible.

    Good Luck and Happy Earnings!

And if a custy asks how much to tip?
Throw out a lagre number, in a giggly, joking way.
He says: So what's the going rate for a tip around here?
    You say: hmm...abotu a thousand dollars usually.gigglegiggle.
yeah, most often they will laugh with you and throw a $20. But you just never know....This line worked for me twice. Once, I got the thousand tip, and the second time, the dude had this one up complex and said, Oh if the going rate is a thousand, I will give you 2!!

Exactly! Its all mindset. If you think it's impossible to make a certain amount...youwon't. For a long time I thought it was impossible to make a grand at my club where dances are $10 and VIP is $250/hr. Once I did it a few times, not only did it become easier to do again AND I started hitting higher personal best nights.

So is that what you keep from the VIP or is there a cut taken out of that? Is is customary to ask for a higher going rate or ask for tips?

Dancer keeps all, house doesn't take a cut, but we have to sell a bottle to sit in the "champagne room" One manager strictly prohibits us from selling at a higher rate (luckily he works at CC-Tempe now) We can ask for tips, but I feel so tacky asking for it, so I just try to sell at $300/hr rate on busy nights. Outta town guys think it's a deal.

Umm yepper it's the tips that will put you up there. That was the reason i stayed a dancer half my adult life. They get drunk and tip the shit out of you! VIP rocked!

    Good luck.

Oh my goodness!!!! Now, that must be when working in Vegas can pay off. Those high rollers must come though and throw money around from time to time.

I can hardly even imagine that happening in Oregon.

    I'm super jealous.

Default Re: So, I've recently gone over the 2K mark, and my question is...

First of all, congrats on your $2k night!

I have found that having an awesome night (i.e. making over $1000 or even $2000, or whatever is significantly higher than average for you and your club) can be attributed just as much to your hard work as well as luck.

Once you find that one guy who is going to spend $$$......I believe that most guys that can spend 200 can spend 400, if they can spend 500 they can spend 1000 and so on and so on. We just have to get it out of them!

(Even if they are big-spenders.... don't forget they are not just paying you.....taking into consideration the cost of rooms or champange, there are very few guys who can blow much more than that in one night at a stripclub)

So talking about a $5k night....If you take home 5000, think of how much that guy spent in total on everything. And if most clubs an hour is around $500, that would take a very long time to add up. If you are making that kind of money, it's not just from hourly...it's tips.

I've made over $5k three times now so far....and it has always been from tipping (and not tips for extras or anything scandelous). Each time has been different and totally without a doubt pure luck. One guy paid me $5k for an hour just to talk. One guy did 4hrs at $1k each plus a tip just to show up his co-worker. And one guy did 6hrs at $1k because the waitress hustled him and he didn't care!

Right place, right time, right guy, and right amount of alcohol

    Yup

perfectly put, that's it in a nutshell right there.

On a personal note, my best night, take home $$ was 2,500, and it was on a friggin Sunday (or maybe Monday, don't remeber...) but I chalked it up to the men that come in on a Sunday, (or...monday), especially when alone, are serious about spending some good time with a dancer, versus on the popular nights, they are there mostly to party and relax, (there are exceptions of course.)

I have never made over 2k in a night but have come close to it from spending multiple hours in VIP. This happens probably once every few months. I swear it's luck. I probably can increase my chances if I had hosts hook me up and do extras. I'm happy with what I make anyway. Some places wont allow you to ask for tips on the VIP charge.
I had one dancer tell me the other night that doing and selling coke helps her make more money. She said she made 3g that night selling her "bag". Insane....
Congrats on your great night and I hope it happens again!
