    Default Suede Shoes

I have some awesome and expensive suede boots... but I was looking to protect them from when it rains or something... Is there something special I should use on them for the material?

Something like this special for suede or else it'll come out all funky. Suede ruins easily and can be cleaned but not always.

I use Tana shoe protector and it works really well. Also, get a brush for suede in case the pile mats. I've used a coarse hair brush with success, but you can probably get ones that are made specifically for suede. As well, I use a suede renew and protect spray that you can get i different colors to keep the color looking fresh. After a brushing and some color renew spray my favorite boots look almost new!

That suede renew and protect stuff is great! I bought a pair of Marc Jacob boots (suede) and wanted to protect them, so that's what I used! That was 3 years ago, but the water still just beads off of them. The trick is to do it outside (strong smell). I completely saturated the boots (used about half the can on every surface!), and put them out to dry. After that, safe to wear in rain, sleet, snow
