This is about my roommates puppy. My roommate had a personal trauma right after getting the puppy and therefore doesn't take care of her. So I do. And I'm totally in love. She's a perfect little bundle of fluff. A lil baby Shih-tzu-Bichon mix.
But I'm having a problem with her. She loves to bite. She has lots of fun toys, but she bites people every chance she gets if she's in a playful mood (90 percent of the time. Normally I adore her playful moods but not the biting!) She bites hands, and she nips at people's heels when we're walking.
She gets tons of attention... I read on dog training sites that the biting can be caused by this. I also read that if I yell ouch! and pull away quicky when she bites it'll stop, but she seem to think this means that I'm playing with her.
Anyone know what I can do?
