I would think that the tickets that would sell for the highest prices on eBay would be pretty much impossible to get anyways, unless you're one of those ticket brokers with the fancy ticket-snatching software.

or if you know someone that can hook you up at the venue. my boyfriend works in ticketing and he can tell pretty much who is a scalper and who is a fan. Also we have bought tickets and put ads on craigslist to sell them. If it is sold out then there is a pretty decent chance at making some $$
I've dabbled into being an amateur ticket broker in the past. I only did concert tickets (I know nothing about sports) so here are several issues:
- It's REALLY hard to get the caliber of tickets the "big guys" get
- It's also hard to guess what will sell out and what won't
- It's nearly impossible to determine if a show sells out whether or not they will add another show the night before or after
That said on those shows I have made money on, I made an easy 20-30% return on my investment, but there will always be some break-even or loss shows.
Feel free to ask me any questions you may have as far as where to sell them, what to buy, etc as I have encountered most of the situations out there
Jeremy
