Isn't it not as potent or something? Screw it, I think I finally may have found my lil' bro's x-mas gift.Where can I get it?
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
WOOOOOOOOOOOT! I've been wanting to try this!
"And while the 120-proof drink packs quite a punch, its maker says it's pefectly safe."
Um, yeah, as perfectly safe as 120-proof liquor can be....![]()
HELL YEAH. Cant wait to try it!! Hope I hallucinate!!!!
confirmed. walked down haight street yesterday and there was a sign on a convenience store that said "absinthe now available *limited quantities*"
But is this the real stuff, or without wormwood?
And BTW, Absinthe doesn't flat-out make you hallucinate. It just gives you a different drunk.

Is "The Return of the Green Fairy" anything like "The Return of the Thin White Duke"?
All kidding aside, do any of the distributors trade publicly on the stock market?
I tried the other green fairy. I huffed and puffed. Nothin.

Oh Gawd Mast, that's horrible!
BTW wanted to say major yummmm on your new AV! Big Bebop fans in this household. (Actually gonna name my daughter Julia, if that isn't too creepy!)
^ That's awesome. I've always loved that Name.
I always like Bebop's ability to just pop in an episode and go. So well done, and you ALWAYS see something different. My real-life look shifts between Spike, Lupin, and Maes Hughes (as TM would tell me) so I switch it up between them.
I want to get a Spike outfit and regrow my hair out and style it like that just once.![]()

As far as fanboy goes, that's actually pretty damn hot. Oh, did I mention I'm moving in?
Just don't eat cookies in bed.
You wont like me if you eat cookies in bed.

On a side note, a kinda-friend of mine (at the gym) is this HUGE fanboy. But you can tell he was one of those kids that got super-bullied in highschool, which sucks because he has a super hot pair of sisters and really decent looking brothers, but he just got railed in the looks department (which isn't entirely true, I've learns a fanboy looks really are in their control, and there is a lot of things this kid could do.)
But I feel bad. We talk often, but the poor kid is socially awkward, even though he's older than I and MUCH more experienced in life, his peers have beat the spirit and life out of him leaving him to pretty much think women, as a whole, are unattainable.
Hell, he thinks Rose is jawdropping, SIMPLY because she's a huge Buffy fan.
He really goes out of his way to pal around me and I like the guy. I just wish I had more time to chill with him, but I don't. He keeps asking me for pointers on, like, how to ask a girl out and such. He idolizes me, simply because I'm a fan, and pretty big one too, of all the things he's into, yet, you can't tell by seeing me a mile away.

Yup. I hear ya on that loud and clear. I proudly rock the nerd vibe now (actually sell quite a few dances this way!), and anyone who is good friends with my husband knows he's a total dork (about music, anime, video games) but we both grew out of the awkward "not quite integrated into society" phase during college. Still have friends who are still stuck there. It's uncomfortable and I think lots of them end up PUAs to try to compensate for their missed years of social interaction.

interesting. According to this it is only illegal if it has more than 10mg of wormwood (or whatever chemical it is they get from wormwood) and that most absinthe never actually contained that much in the 1st place.horray.

^thujone is the ingredient they regulate. There's actually a pretty thorough article on wikipedia about it

Here is a link to the Absinthe being produced in the United States. It also has links once you are there of where you are able to purchase it.
Lucid - Prohibition is Over
Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.
That is a GREAT looking bottle...almost so much that I don't trust it's the real deal!
Hmm I wonder if it's made its way out here yet, I'll have to look. Will have to get some when I go back to visit NJ!
Altho I'm a fan of being "pure" at all times with good shit, um this recipe looks great and would help with the licorique:
• 2 1/2 oz. Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka ®
• 1/2 oz. LUCID™
• 1/2 oz. simple syrup
• Crushed chocolate cookie on rim
• Garnish = Chinese Star Anise floating
• Glassware = Martini Glass

IMHO compared to top shelf european Absinthes (which can now also be imported legally in limited quantities, many of which are actually distilled by the same guy that made the formula for Lucid) , Lucid is relatively mediocre stuff.
