It is what it is, not what you want it to become, that's important -- at least for now. Today, remember that things worth having are worth waiting for!

I had a couple of pieces that I won as prizes but its not reallly my style . I gave them to Mom's and she's totally into it . I will say that he's a talented artist !!!!

He's talented but it's not really my style.
I had a t-shirt with one of his designs on it when I was little![]()
Hmmm. I guess it is my love of anything to do with the ocean, and sea creatures.
That website was so annoying that the art itself was anticlimactic IMO.
His stuff is great. Robert Wyland & Jeff Wilkie are good too
OMG! Why have I never seen this before??? I have about a bazillion notebooks with his pictures on the cover! Does he actually have a gallery here in las vegas? I am scouring his website right now...
Edit: awww, no events scheduled in the upcoming future. Too bad.
Lol, I even have PUZZLES of his artwork! They glow in the dark.![]()
There was some interesting stuff in there! I liked one called "mother sunrise" or something like that. I liked the website but that's cuz it loads fast for me!
I used to do puzzles of his artwork as a kid. brings back memories!
I've always loved Lassen's work. It's always so dreamy, beautiful, and serene. and of another realm...It's not everyone's type of art, but I do admire the skill he has.

Kind of jarring for me. I'm not sure why.

The seascapes are amazingly vivid. And I'm loving his cubist works, especially the Face Collage and the Self-Portrait. I'm always intrigued to see how artists depict themselves. I noticed that his life revolves around the aquatic/marine life and the ocean, which explains why he emulated himself similar to his seascapes. One side of his face is blue and green much like the ocean waters, the other has reflections of pink, orange, and purple, on a blue base, like the sunset reflection over the ocean at dusk. Also explains why his hair is shaped like 2 waves. At least this is what I infer.
<~~~wonders if there is an art thread around here somewhere... I'd be fascinated to see what type of art people are drawn to.
PS: The water sounds really make me want to be at the beach right now. It's so soothing.
