    Default I fell face first!!

    Hey Everyone,

I'm a newbie, I started dancing this past Monday. I've never danced before but my sister does and she helped a lot along with all the advice I got from this board. So last night I was coming out of the bathroom and tripped on my shoe and feel face first, my little hand held purse flew, I stayed on the ground because I could not believe that just happened to me, I crawled on the floor to get my purse then the bouncers came over to ask me if I was ok. I was in shock and the club was filled last night. One of the girls came over and told me its ok all the girls fall on that ramp at least once when they start I'm just mad it happened on a Friday night. But I got back up smiling and laughing at myself. I sat at the bar for a while then I went back to working the room, has this ever happen to anyone on here! My night did go well despite the mishap though!

I slip on stairs, fall down ramps, and trip on uneven sections of the floor all the time! I've twisted my ankles, bruised knees and elbows, and other assorted injuries. Clearly, a graceful ballerina I am not.
I've been dancing for over 10 years and still happens.

I fell flat on my ass onstage one night... The combo of new shoe and some chica who decided that copious baby oil+marble stages=nice 'n' safe, no really. If you get up laughing and acting like it's no big deal, then nobody remembers it after a few minutes.

The floor under the carpeting at my club is very uneven, lots of dips and craters. You don't know how many times I've rolled my ankles and buckled my knees almost falling because of those damned things.

I fell in front of a customer while getting ready to do a private dance. Just brushed it off as "I was trying to get my shoes off faster" and life went on.

I've also fallen at the bar, in front of another dancer and some customers. And I've fallen on stage... be it getting ready to kneel in front of a customer, or trying to slide down the pole to the floor and letting go of the pole a little too early... Just smile your way through it, wait til you get to the dressing room to go "FUCK! OUCH!"
"take it from me, to be a stripper, all you need to have is no talent!"

I tripped over my skirt onto a customer on the couch in VIP and smacked my skull into his. This happened like 2 months ago. Falling is common, but at least you didn't nearly crack open a customer's head.

Friday night I was in the dressing room in some deep conversation with a chick and I forgot I was supposed to be on stage in a few minutes. The DJ called my name to go on stage so I took off running and busted my face and fell into the door. I've been dancing for 4 years, so I'm pretty quick in my shoes if need be but when I fell, I looked like a newborn horse with legs everywhere. Luckily it was just in the DR, but I stood up, brushed myself off and said "I swear I'm not drunk.." and everybody busted up laughing. It's no big deal, we all do it!!

One time I tripped and landed really hard on one knee on the uneven floor at the bar in front of a rich-looking custie (note that I HAD NOT been drinking, hehe.) He and my manager both rushed over to help me up, I laughed it off, limped back to the DR and cried lol. I probably could have gotten a lot of sympathy dances off him but eh, I was new and my knee hurt. Next time I'll grin and bear it and keep on hustling lol!

I've fallen a million times even lost hair pieces....but the worst was when I fell off stage flat onto my back. It was like a scene in a movie; the music stopped, everyone froze and was looking at me...talk about EMBARASSING! Then to top it all off, the dj was like she slipped, she fell, she can't get up, everyone was dying laughing. But just like other girls, I got up laughed and smiled it off and went right back to doing my set. The dj kept trying to make fun of me but everyone was over it...anyway keep doing ya thing girl and make lots of money!

About once a week I fall... When I first started out, it was about 3-4 times a week (and I only work 3-4 days!). And I do stuff like falling flat on my ass in the middle of the main stage when I'm the only one on-stage and it's a packed Friday night and everybody's watching me.

What I've found is, get up quickly, and laugh about it. You'll get a lot of guys that will come up to tip you because they admire the way you get up and laugh it off. Last weekend I was trying a new pole trick on main stage where I put my legs around the pole and then flip upside down, but my grip didn't hold and I fell down the pole HARD (from about 6 feet or so) directly on my head. Hurt like hell and I had a mild concussion, but I laughed even though it hurt hard enough to make me want to cry. And sure enough, I got tipped well!

I can contact all my exes at once by drawing a pentacle on the floor, sacrificing a ram, and shouting "Hail Satan". Convenience is a must.

I have bad ankles (one more than the other) and I fall at least once a month. I think it's so infrequent because I walk super duper slow most of the time but there are always spots of beer or water on the floor at my club and if I don't wear the right shoes I'm toast.

It happens to all of us though. The best thing to do is stay confident and if any customers ask you if you're OK just laugh it off. It's the worst when they notice.

Heh Miss Nude Canada last week.... I slipped and fell on stage right in the middle of my major contest show.

I've taken a nice trip in the middle of the bar countless times.. hell just an hour ago as I was walking to the stage being announced(as the feature non the less) I wiped out walking up the stairs.

It happens to the best of us. Just laugh at yourself. It shows your cool and the guys will love you May even get pity tips
