Default Considering where to audition- Dolphin 1, or Sassy's?

Dolphin 1 being the one in Milwaukie. Anyway, Portland girls, what do you think would be more lucrative? Sassy's is a much quicker cab fare. But I wonder how much money I could make at the Dolphin since they allow couch dances. Even though the idea of a couch dance kind of freaks me out a little.

Anyway, any info or experience you have with these clubs that you'd like to share, please let me know. Thanks

Hi Elvia! It just depends on your style. If you are really stage-oriented Sassy's is a fantastic club. They have some wonderful and beautiful girls that love that club. If you feel that you would be a great dance hustler you should go to the dolphin. You can really make alot of money at the Dolphin. The couch dances are really innocent. They are a bit more intimate than an "air-dance" but really nothing illegal is going on and the customers prefer the fact that you can get that close to them(you remain in your clothes and its really just a one-way cuddling experience, they get that personal attention that they deire from a pretty girl) If at all possible, try to schedule yourself for both clubs and see which one works best in your comfort zone

Thanks Oregon chick! Maybe I will try them both. I'm not used to hustling (my current club is strictly a "no hustling" place) but I'd sure like to try my hand at it. I'm hoping they'll let me work one night a week. I do want to keep working a couple nights at my old club right now, since I have built up some regulars.

Anyway, thanks again for the info and advice.

The main difference is that at the Dolphin they will probably let you work the same day (especially if you show up early, i.e. at 5-6 if you want to stay 'til closing). At Sassy's, if they hire you they will ask you to schedule and then contact you later with more info. One idea would be to audition at Sassy's in the afternoon and then go work a night shift at the Dolphin. that way you get a very immediate sense of the difference between the two places.

I've worked at both and they are very different clubs, so it's just going to be your experience. Personally I think that the money is more lucrative at the Dolphin but Sassy's is a lot funner.

Anomar's worked at both, I've only worked at Dolphin so I am no expert, but I'd assume that Dolphin would have more $$$ potential. It's just set up for it, couch dance, table dance, VIP room, when I go to the smaller clubs as a customer I never even think about private dances.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

The Dolphin is for sure set up for way more MONEY potential if you can hustle. My club, "Carnaval" is a hustle only club but quite a few of my minor dancers have gone on to Sassy's because it is a great stage club with no hustle. Not all dancers are cut out to hustle but are fantastic performers. Good Luck!

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. I've decided to try the Dolphin (1, since I've heard some stories about Greg at 2, and because I checked both out and just felt more comfortable at 1). I want to try to make some money to save for up for a trip to Europe. And, I think it'll be fun to try my hand at hustling. If it doesn't work out, I'll probably try Sassy's after that. It always seemed like a fun club to me.

Anyone have experience at Dolphin 1? I hear a lot about 2 around here, but no so much about 1.

I worked there once and did well. The VIP is $40 a dance there and it's easier to sell because it seems more private (I think $10 goes to the house). I think it's more laid back than D2 but I have made similar money amounts at both clubs.

I have heard some of the DI girls can be very catty and territorial and terrorize new girls that are too hot and do too well (A significant number of DI gals have switched to the DII over the past year). So maybe be prepared for a hazing period? There are some very lovely and nice girls who work there; by no means do I want to paint the whole club with one stroke. But I have just heard about unbelievably catty backbiting going on there!

I've never had problems with Greg (beyond the occasional annoyance). If you can act like an adult at a job, you won't have run-ins with him.

However, I don't plan to go back to the DII because I have not been making money there over the last few months (I've been there about a year and a half). The crowd is VERY young these days, even on weekdays, and the owner isn't bothered by it because it's still drink $ either way. Some girls can make money off the young crowd by getting a dance at a time, but I can't deal with it. The steady supply of middle aged or older gentlemen I relied on has mostly dried up, so I'm looking elsewhere.

If you're really hot (or more importantly, if you feel really hot) and can deal with young guys, you could definitely try a Dolphin club. The couch dances really aren't as terrible as some people have made them out to be.
