    Default Alcohol and Diet Pills

Okay, one other question that most likely seems stupid:
Is it alright to consume alcohol after waiting about 5 hours after taking a diet pill(s)?

It seems as though it wouldn't be very healthy to do so, considering diet pills act as uppers while alcohol is a downer, but I haven't been able to find much info saying it's actually bad for you.

Well, they both dehydrate so this stresses the system (kidneys, heart, adrenals, etc).

As long as it's not an everyday thing I doubt you'll die from it.

I have found that diet pills + alcohol = too drunk

The pills speed up your metabolism so you process the alcohol faster. The same amount of alcohol I would normally have made me black-out-drunk with diet pills.

The upside is that alcohol has a ton of calories, so if you stop drinking and take the diet pills you are likely to lose a good bit of weight.

I will say my friend is takes diet pills and always drinks at work. Shes been to the ER twice in the last few months for kidney infections. The first time I took her and she was in horrible horrible pain. OMG, she tought she was dying. I told her it was the diet pills. She was there agan a couple weeks ago and the drs told her it was sex related. No freakin way. Of course she didnt TELL THEM she was on diet pills and drinking excessively 3x's a week. Its NOT a good combination.

A lot of girls do this where I work. DON'T DO IT! They are WASTED and ANNOYING, not to mention that it is just plain unhealthy.

If you really want to drink and need energy, drink the infamous Red bull Vodka.

Sometimes when I'm tired and still want to go out I take a diet pill. If I didn't the alcohol alone would make me sleepy. I don't do it often nor do I even drink that much per month. Like less than a handful of times.

I've never had anything happen to me. I would say its ok but not for weekly use as like others mentioned its hard on your body.

Since I pretty much always have a diet pill in my system, I do this too. It's probably not good for me and sometimes I plan ahead to not take a pill if I know I'm going out drinking that night. I haven't experianced any problems (um... yet...). Five hours should be okay. Read the label on the bottle to see how long your pills last.

Five hours should be okay, but I'd avoid it if at all possible. I used to mix Hydroxycut with alcohol and while it didn't bother me at first, it makes me sicker than a dog now.

Alternatively, you can stick to your diet by taking the pills, and drinking vodka/red bull or diet coke, tc. It keeps your metabolism running on high so you process calories faster than drinking moderately without d pills. You get drunk really fast, so you drink less (like normal amonts that don't usually get you drunk make you hammered), but I don't necessarily recommend this as it may make you a crazy bitch. i lost like 20 lbs on this plan. It was fun, but I can't do it again. Blech.

This is actually really dangerous and makes me think of all the dumbasses who took ephedra (ECA stack) incorrectly. Like taking a dose or two then drinking redbull.

What you just described is potentially hazzardous.
