    Default Being Newly Femme?

This may seem like an odd question, but has anyone transitioned from a tomboyish style to a more femme one? I don't want to get all My Fair Lady on you guys, but outside of work, I basically look like a 14 year old geek boy. Which is great, don't get me wrong, but I feel I'm easing out of that style now.

I want to be a lady

I swear, I see these women walking around downtown and they look so put together. HOW DO THEY LOOK SO PUT TOGETHER?

seriously it takes time. more time than i care to put into myself at the moment. I used to be one of those all polished looking women. i dont care anymore.... i used to watch all the makeover shows on TLC to get new style tips..

i actually feel kinda bad that i look like crap all the time...

It takes a lot of time.. it's such a pain in the ass. I'm generally pretty well put together but sometimes I just get super lazy and say screw it!

I guess a nice dress, stockings, heels. That would make most feel more womanly. Clothes can make people feel great. If i put on jeans i feel blah,
i need to wear a skirt or dress. Same with shoes, i live in heels, or i feel out of sync with who i am.

I think shoes are powerful creatures. The world seems to respond to me differently when I wear boots (w/a heel) instead of my Dansko clogs I swear.

Good luck, and let me know when you find the answer. I live in shorts or sweat pants and beaters or tight t-shirts. I had the biggest problem when I had interviews in my business suit and shoes. I looked like a man in drag almost. I don't have the womanly swagger. I just walk like I have rocks in my shoes.

It has already been said but time is the number one factor. A little bit of money thrown in too will put you over the top. But it can be done on a budget
