    Default Pulled Muscle? Just Strained it? Help

    After working Sat night I noticed ache to one side of my upper back, and along my side a little,and it just got worse and worse. Like if I breathed too deeply it hurt. It's Tues. and it's still pretty uncomfortable.
    Any ideas what I did? I have a feeling i prob. did it swinging on the pole...but how do i know if it's just strained or not used to that kind of work (though I do it alot) or if I tore or pulled something?

    Caused by cold muscles being used.

    More than likely pulled the bottom trap, or one of the teres muscles in the shoulder girdle.

    Nothing to do but stretch (range of motion) and rest.

    How you stretch it out is retraction and depression of the shoulder girdle.....or to roll your shoulder forward and backwards in circles. Pull them forward and pull them back.

    thankyou. It just kind of caught me by surprise. I didn't think it would stick around that long. My boyfriends mom gave me Excedrin Back and Body which has actually helped alot.
