As long as they dont hustle in my club and thus, affect my money...I could care less what someone else chooses to do for a living.

Im with everyone else on here, I dont mind them at all, not my business. Just keep it out of the club.

This is a dumb question, but why do some escort agencies say "no sex involved! get paid good money to be a companion and go the most upscale resorts"
Are they BSing and are just trying to cover up prostitution on the down-low? Some people say escorts are just upscale prostitutes, while others say they're just hired to be dates, companions, massage girls, etc. I'm confused, as I did ponder about getting into the escorting business.

^^^Bull shit all the way. The number of real escorts that get hired only for literal dates are very few. Like pimps, they are just trying to recruit.

Keep it out of the clubs.
Not because I am against it. I used to work as a dominatrix. But soliciting in clubs turns clubs into unsafe work environments for dancers, because it promotes clientelle who think they can get extra services from the dancers. If a dancer refuses it increases the likelihood of an angry response from the customer and so forth. That said I am all about organizing for safer work environments and practices for ALL women in the sex work industry, be they dancers or dominatrixes or escorts of street prostitutes and so forth. Shit needs to be legalized and regulated so that women can work safely and without exploitation of their earnings.
It can be difficult to make a recently single man pay for sex when he knows that a quick trip to the local watering hole would secure at least one hard drunken tumble for far less cash. It is even more difficult when he is something of a dead ringer for James Bond as played by Daniel Craig and possesses the sort of awkard charm and confidence that brands a man like him as a lady killer.

RebeccaSolidarity, you just nailed all of it right on the head.
Do what you like for a living, but do it wisely and safely for yourself and the people you deal with, be they customers or coworkers.

the oldest profession is murder for hire, not sex for hire.
True enough.
Heh, in europe clear up through the renaissance the districts that the sex workers lived in (and they did live in specific parts of town, even if they worked elsewhere) were shared with the executioners.
And penniless actors.
But... you know -actors- ...

I find this hard to believe. When people talk about prostitution being the oldest profession, I always imagine a cavewoman making some arrangement like "I'll have sex with you for some of that woolly mammoth!" and murder for hire just seems like a more complicated principle than that.
Many agencies wont say this in an advertisment.
However when being interviewed they will tell you that you don't have to have sex with anyone. Now, i went down that road for a few months. It was fine, but sooner or later the same guy i seen a month ago wants to see me again, and wants sex. They all did. So as far as the company is concerned if you don't give in they will fire you. I had sooo much friggin pressure (and the owner came up to me and asked me to work for him) i could not stand it.
I quit. The fetish guys are great, but even they want you to fuck them after a while....Dah. I was told i could cater to the fetish guys and they only want to play mommy games dress up etc. Bull Shit. Pay was very good. I was on call 24/7...YES sex is always involved sooner or later. I could have stuck it out....but dancing was better at that point, less pressure. Veey very few did not want sex, it's not worth getting up at 3:00am to smack a guy around for an hour....
I really couldn't care less. I'm not comfortable with it, but whatever! I wouldn't even care if girls did it in the club, IF there were no legal ramifications for that. Sadly, what pisses me off about extra girls is that they give a club a reputation for being dirty, and then the cops come in and sting the whole place and innocent me on stage might get dragged off and handcuffed for "breaking the law" by touching my boobs on stage or by giving some guy a "Lapdance." (Grinding is technically illegal in Las V. but everybody does it. But, you could get busted none the less)
I don't think, and maybe this is just me being niave, that extras girls really hurt your money, because a lot of guys really don't want extras and get grossed out when girls offer them.

It's funny that the OP posted one time and we've rambled on for two pages.

It was a him and he just started a website for escorts (and strippers)
Maybe where you are this is true. Here...its expected by many of the custies and they will look at you like you have two heads when you say that really...all you do is dance.
Since the extras girls(and by extras...I mean hookers in the club) outnumber the clean dancers about 100 to 1 in this area...the guys have been trained to expect it. Even out of town guys know South Floridas "reputation" and come in looking for sex.
So yeah...it's affected MY money a LOT.
Cam-I keep forgetting your in South Florida! Florida IS really hard, right you are.
I wonder why that is? I lived in Miami and tried to dance ( I only lived there a couple months) and found out it was hooker heaven! That is not cool. I guess what I said applies to Vegas, not everywhere

Honestly? It all started right around 9/11. Before that..it was big money and no trouble...or very little trouble.
Several clubs here, when it got slow after the attack, imported a large amount of prostitutes from Eastern Europe and South America. Quite a few got deported in a mass INS raid about 5 years ago...but a few remained...and by then..the USA girls had already crossed over the line in order to keep in the game. And it was all downhill from there.
It used to be that out of 25 girls working one night...maybe 2 would give extras..only in the private room and VERY discreetly.
Now..if you have 25 girls working...20 at least will be full on hookers in most clubs. And those are conservative numbers...I've worked plenty of places where I was the lone holdout in a sea of cheap prostitutes getting fingered on the floor for $10.
Or..like Ginger said in another thread....you will see girls in some clubs(especially the one she was talking about) giving full on blow jobs right on the floor next to the stage. Bouncers are told by the owner that they see nothing if they want to keep their job.
How can I sell a $20 dance when pretty much every other girl will blow you right in your chair for less then that?
It's funny actually that Vegas isnt that way...maybe we should transfer the nickname of "Sin City" to here!
Escorts actually fucking in the club or hooking up with customers later just screams crackhead to me. Do these women not know how to use the internet?
Now I'm really never going to Florida...
To be honest I don't have an opinion on them personally. But what does shit me to tears are people that are too stupid to tell the difference between whether they walked into a Strip Club or a Brothel!!
So many things can be split up into all sorts of categories.
For example Cars.
Mechanics, taxis, car yards, detailers ect ect ect. Unless they specify otherwise - people wouldn't waste THEIR time with stupid self explanitory questions!
I wonder if there are other people that have endless streams of people asking the same question that should've been answered the moment they made the decision to come through the door in their line of work... and I wonder how THEY feel about THAT! (No seriously - I'm curious... maybe they could offer solutions?)

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

prostitution requires social structure and agriculture. you have to have a pretty specialised economy before it starts making sense to pay a woman or a few women to be the 'town hooker' or whatever. small tribes=no prostitution. no point to it. modified monogamy (cheating/affairs/wife-swapping/etc) covers women getting extra resources from more than one guy in those scenarios.
damn, i sound like i approve of evo psychology or something...
but mostly i make the murder for hire jest because war's been around way longer than whoring.
