    Wonderful.

My Grandma used to say, "Darlin, we all have a little of everything in the woodpile!".

I guess Watson hadn't done a rigorous scientific analysis of his family's woodpile

    So true, 423texas!

My maternal grandfather was a black South American from British Guyana (squashed between Brazil & Venezuela) who married a white Englishwoman (my grandmother). My mother's sister (my aunt) married a white Canadian (my uncle) and had 2 children (my cousins).

My Canadian uncle was an executive with Pfizer and relocated over the years to various countries including Iran, South Africa and Greece. In fact, in South Africa, my aunt and cousins--who are light-skinned and have "European" appearances--passed for white during 1970's apartheid and led privileged lives there for several years before moving to Greece.

Three years ago, my cousins brought their Canadian spouses and their young children with them from Toronto and Montreal to visit us in Los Angeles. All of them are fair-skinned and all identify as white Canadians. The laws of genetics dictate that sooner or later, at least one generation of my "white" Canadian cousins will have a "black" grandchild that will startle the obstetrician and its family in Labor & Delivery. I've teasingly asked my aunt how they'll deal with that when it occurs. She simply shrugs and smiles enigmatically...

I was gonna say........., but nevermind:

"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

Oh, that sounds like it's gonna be juicy. My family has the same issue, but a part of my family actually passed for white during Jim Crow and no one, not even their spouses know that they actually have black blood. Can't wait til that caramel colored baby pops up.

Thank goodness for scientists eh? Where would we be without them?

You have to feel for the guy though. He'll never live this down and his reputation as a serious researcher is probably over. But then, he didn't seem to mind labelling huge sections of the world's population either...

Great news to hear--the closer we get to understanding we're all one, the more insane the civilizations we've built seem. I'm glad that at least this small stone in the wall of hatred has been removed.
