    Default tip jar shoes?

Does anyone have those tip jar shoes? The ones with the money slot in the platform? I'll be going back to work soon and may need some new shoes. I like the idea, it seems like a nice conversation starter, a way to bring up the subject of tipping, and could be fun for the customers.

What do you ladies think? Waste of money?

And if I do get some, would it be better to get black ones so that you can't see the money inside? I don't really want the customers to see my earnings, though it might draw more attention to me and I wouldn't have to point out that you can put money in my shoes.

I think they're tacky, but that's me. I've heard a lot of girls don't like them. PITA to get money out of.

Not my cup of tea. The little slots in the shoe look like something more fit for coins than massive wads of cash (which is what I am most interested in). Plus, I want guys to forget alllll about money when I'm dancing. If they see a dollar sign on your dress, your feet, or your eyes... they'll be way more cynical about the experience.

But that's just my 2 cents. Can I put 'em in someones shoe?

I also heard they were so light it made it hard to dance in them.

Yeah....I definitely think theyre tacky, which is why if I got them they would probably be black with no dollar signs or any of that crap.

Just one of those things I'm having a hard time formulating an opinion on... so thanks for the input.

Sorry, not into them. Simple is better, IMO.

good for clubs with no lockers and no garters allowed though... I considered getting a pair of opaque ones- those are the only ones i would wear- IMHO i think the clear ones with the tip slot and dollar sign are tacky. Opaque ones would be good for storing the larger bills, and I'd keep a purse with my ones in my hand, that way if it got stolen, I'd still be wearing the majority of my money

I love them. I feel much safer having my money in my shoe than on a garter where it could more easily be lost. I also love to have my money on me, as opposed to in my locker where I can't watch it. Plus, since I never have to go to the locker room to put money away, my $$$ average has gone up a bit since I started wearing them. I can stay on the floor for hours with no breaks just making money the whole time and shoving it safely away in my shoe.

Zabrina- how can you make sure they don't fall out of your shoe? I'm not exactly sure how they work.

The slit is pretty small, like a coin slot. I wait till I have a stack of 100-200 in 20's then fold it in half and shove it in. Once its in there, it unfolds a bit and wont come out. Maybe if I stuck individual $20's there would be a slight chance of it falling out, but in stacks its too thick to come out once its in. Making stacks like that I've been able to safely store a grand in my shoes, though it does become a tight fit!

Maybe the black ones, but I agree the others are tacky.

The slot is for novelty I think. I've seen a few girls with these shoes, and usually they'll stick a dollar bill in the shoe themselves as decoration. It would be a pain in the ass to stick your foot up for the guys to tip you in your shoe. It's more fun to go up to a guy and have him stick money in your garter/tback/between your boobs. Fun for him anyways.

I have a pair of Pleaser's that have a 'treasure chest' feature in the bottom of the shoe. Not a tip jar, but a secret place to keep money. And my shoes are black, so no one knows there's anything in there. And to get to it, you have to take the shoes off, so it's not like I'll get robbed unless I just leave my shoes laying around.

One of the girls at my club told me not to get them, because they are really uncomfortable on the sole.

^They do pinch a bit on the sole. There's a little space where the opening doesn't close all the way and it pinched a bit for the first week or so. I think I built some thicker skin there now, 'cause it doesn't hurt anymore.

I have tip jar shoes, but without a slot on the side (you can fill the hollowed clear base with anything through a flap in the sole).

They are definitely less stable and comfortable than regular heels.

A dancer at work has them and guys put coins in them???

When she walks around you can hear the coins rattling.

But for storing notes it would be ok I guess. Not the ones with the $$$ tho.

I have those - but I don't put money in them. I stuff in fake flowers that match my outfit ( through the top, not the slot ).

I've done jacks and balls with a schoolgirl outfit, chains with my dominatrix outift, and other stuff. They're pretty spiffy.

Just cause theyre tacky doesn't mean they couldn't be kinda fun. Plus I've seen some way tackier shit ITC and customers totally go for it

But it seems like theyre not worth it if theyre uncomfortable and hard to work with. I'll try em out if I see them in a store, but I definitely won't buy these online.

Jaizaine - Coins?! What kind of dancer allows coins for tips? No no.

They are not uncomfortable, they feel like any other shoe. I couldn't tell the difference between those and my 11 other pairs of stripper heels, besides the fact that they do feel lighter. They must not have been very well made then, if they were so uncomfy. I like them, they're cute and fun.

I know I have had custies put coins on my stage before which I have ignored. Ive seen girls get so pissed about having coins as tips that they have called a bouncer and said to kick the custie out.

I thought about getting a pair of these. I carry a purse at work but there's always a chance that it can get snatched or left somewhere by accident and lose all of your $$$.

Aren't Aussie coins in dollar amounts? That would make it the equivalent of what we get here so I wouldn't see the big deal unless they were tipping you 50 cents or something.

I can totally see guys putting coins in those little slots. Honestly, when they're busy thinking with their small head and staring at boobs, they're not going to notice some little slot in your shoe and decide to put a dollar in there. If you don't do well with purses and decide to use the shoes and money-holders... Well, IMO, that's the only way they'd be useful.

yeh we have $1 and $2 coins but the girls still dont llike them. Our smallest note is a $5. Some clubs have funny money which has $1 notes which is a better idea.
