I work at a small club where most of our money is made off of stage. There was a "new" customer in particular who tipped me a good amount each time I did my set. I gave him a hug, had a beer with him, said thank you, and went on with my night.
The same customer came into my club a week later and tipped me very well again, plus bought a couple dances from me. He was very nice, easy going and I actually had a good time while he was there. Towards the end of the night, he asked me when I was working again. I said "tomorrow." He said "Sweet. I'll see you then!"
Custie came back a third time, but this time he hardly tipped me. He hung out for a bit and left shortly after that.
I saw him again a few days ago, and the same thing happened. He tipped me a total of $5. I went outside for smoke, and he joined me for one. He kept complimenting me the entire time and said he can't wait to see me again. As he was about to leave, he asked me when I was working again. I told him that I'll be back on Fri. night. He said "okay, I'll see you then!"
Good grief! If I'm so "hot, fun, nice, blah blah blah", give me money!![]()
I've been racking my brain as to what I should do or how I should act with him, if he shows up tonight.
I don't get it. Why was he so generous the first couple visits, but hardly tipped me anything the last couple times?
A friend of mine said it might be because the customer thinks that we're friends now and that he probably feels that he doesn't have to tip.
Any suggestions?
