Default 32 DD - Know any websites for bras outside the 'normal range'?

Surely someone on here knows a site for nice bras in the larger / unusal sizes?

I am searching for nice bras in 32 DD, I only managed to find one in that size. (its a Wonderbra in a box, it reduces projection 1.5 inches so I can wear suit jackets).

But finding nice stuff is hard if you're not 34C. Outsize the 'normal range' they do not have them at Victorias and they do not have them at LaSenza, the Canadian Victorias.

I went to a fancy lingerie shop and they had my size but those bras were $150+ and thats too much for me.

http://www.figleaves.com/us/home.asp has a good assortment of bigger bras. I would try on some 34D bras too. I'm a 32DD too and I actually like the way 34D bras fit better.

Thanks for starting the thread. I'm having a hard time finding anything to fit post-BA. I'm at a 34E and Agent Provocateur fits wonderfully on my boobs but not my wallet.

I got a spin on this question. Does anyone know where I can get bikini tops for dancing in a 36 dd/e? They're natural so that 'one size fits all' stuff doesn't fly.

My favourite bra at the moment is an Elle Mcpherson intimates one, I'm not sure where you can get them online.

Does anyone else get incredibly frustrated bra shopping? It puts me in the worst mood everytime.

Seriously, you all should take my advice and try a bra on that is one band size up and one cup size down, gives great cleavage too!

To be honest PRP, I don't really have much of a problem with cleavage as it is. I do often do the one size up/down thing though just to see cos different brands have different fits.

I tried to do the 36DD at Victoria's Secret and the band is loose and the cups still aren't big enough. I spill over the top.

I think Lola Rose gets alterations on her bras... LR, come help!

I have DDs also and finding cute, lacey bras is a pain. You might laugh when I say this but try Lane Bryant, there's probably one is your mall. They have 32dd up to like 46F in the store, otherwise you can order online. I get sooooo many complements on they way my boobs look in their bras. I never went in this store because it's for plus sizes but their bras are the best. I even have two strapless bras that fit perfectly which is reare with such big boobs. Ave price $35/piece

This site is probably the best resource for larger bras I have come across.

That is a difficult size to shop for. Most places that carry "bigger" bras carry larger cup sizes, starting with a 38, so you're SOL if you want a smaller band/larger cup combo. I wear a 34DD and it's a pain; I love to shop for bras in London because for some reason they make more bras in a wider range of sizes in the UK. Actually, you may want to look at the Marks & Spencer website -- even with exchange and shipping it looks pretty reasonable. And when they have a sale, Agent Provocateur is great. I will spend $150 on an awesome bra, though, and the Love bra is a wondrous thing. Like shoes, you get what you pay for.

I also like Secrets in Lace and Brasmyth.

Also, Wacoal makes some great bras and you can often find steals on eBay. I've gotten some nice $60 Wacoals there for $19. Look, here's a ton.

Once your boobs have settled some more, see if you can find a good local lingerie shop where the ladies will measure you very accurately. There should be at least one specialty place where they carry a good range.

I tried that and it looks CRAZY on me. Boobs poppin out the top AND the bottom. Not a good look.

I recommend bali bras. I order from www.barenecessities.com Cotton Craze is my favorite! It's made of t-shirt fabric.

Thanks everyone, I know I will find something suitable in those sites.

And wearing a bra the wrong size just plain sucks! For a long time I just wore 34 band size, but (even before ba) the boobs pop out the bottom of the band if its not snug.

The band is supposed to do most of the support. There is absolutely nothing worse than a 'Bad Bra Day', riding up all day and boobs looking deformed through a shirt from the wrong cup size. After an 18 hour day in a bra that doesn't fit, I would strangle my Priest if he got in my way.

I honestly think thank most women wear the wrong bra size. But there is nothing like it when you find the super-bra that fits right and looks good, and I know I"m not the only one who goes back to buy 3 more when I find one that works for me!

This summer when I went to Egypt I thought I was doing my boobs right away, so I didn't take many bras with me. Then I didn't want to buy any more because I was supposedly getting a BA 'soon' so I didn't want to waste money. Basically, I have been wearing the same 3 for about a year, and although there are really nice LeJaby stuff, by bras are totally busted up now and don't fit!! I am going on a shopping spree online as soon as I am done my exams.

    I'm here!!!

For the perfect fitting bra for bigger boobies:

You have to have an assistant (a friend or the dressing room attendant works great)

I "try on" bras by making sure the cups fit the way i want. I just sort of hold them to my breasts to make sure they lay smooth and have the amount of coverage (or not) that I'm looking for. You want the back part of the cups to lay comfortably and don't end before your breasts end. You need to make sure you don't have any double bubble in the front, or any gaps. Now, have your pal hold the bra closed so it fits how the band of a bra should. check your clevage. does it now create a double bubble effect? Are their gaps? do your boobs look the way you want them? (i personally can't buy a bra with a lot of space between the two cups in front, it makes my breasts look too.... fake for my tastes) Now try on a shirt like they type you want to wear with the bra on over, to make sure it still looks great. Have your pal still hold the band to the proper size.

Now, bring your bra (I premark mine) to an alterationist. she can take it in from two different places, assuming it's a push up style bra like this: (See how the cups have a clear end, before the band)) She can take it in under your armpits, where the cup meets the band (i think this is the least noticible) or in the back, where the band meets the hook and eye closure. For a seamless bra, like this:
you can only have it taken in at the hook and eye in the back, b/c the cups are not defined and have no seam. I should cost you between 8-20 dollars, depending on complexity. a lace bra will cost more usually.

I wear a 30 or 32 DD. When selecting bras to try on, I pick a D or a DD. DD is more comfortable. For work I wear an unaltered 34C, b/c without a shirt, double bubble shows a lot less, and I think guys (wierdos) actually kind of like the "cups spillith over" effect.

If your boobs are beyond DD (the end of the line for most stores), this will be harder, but still possible. You'll just have to try on a lot more bras. bras with a lot of lace at the top of the cup are probably better. This: is more likely to fit then this: , just because the lace is more forgiving of being overstuffed and less likely to cause Double bubbling.

This is the company I mentioned in the other thread that designs bras for augmented breasts, Le Mystere No. 9. I read about them in InStyle awhile ago.

    Their homepage -

    Nordies shopping -

Some are still kinda frumpy looking, but they do have a few pretty ones in lace around $80. Nordies seemed to have the best selection, but you can find other stores/sites on their homepage. Hope this helped!!

Heh, that's pretty funny. I'd be kind of upset if I got boobs that were so different from real ones that they had to invent a new damn bra for them! They're still boobs!
